COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly known as Andechser Weissbier Hefetrüb.

When summer is on the way and the days invite you to swim, ramble, climb, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you will discover that an Andechser Weissbier Hell is just the right thing to quench your thirst. Since Saint Joseph’s Day on 19 March 1993, Andechs Weissbier Hell has found many new friends. Untreated and bottled in its natural state of yeasty turbidity, this is a top fermented beer for the epicure. Its light honey colour makes it an immediate eyecatcher. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. At the same time, the creamy, fine pored head invites you to get to know this light Weissbier from the Holy Mountain. You’ll need two takes to enjoy the aromas to the full. First, distinctive fruity aromas like banana and honeydew melon come to the fore, followed by fine cloves. Andechser Weissbier Hell is a very tangy, refreshing treat with the conviction of a full, soft body. It concludes on a finely balanced interplay of light sweet honey and a delicate acidity with undertones of bitter hoppiness that quickly subside into a harmonious aftertaste. A Weissbier that embodies a slice of the Andechs lifestyle: finely yeasty, tangy, and sparkling, it refreshes and renews the thirst for more (original extract: 12.5%; abv: 5.5%).

UPDATED: APR 23, 2013 Nice white head and hazy orange/yellow colour. Smells little spicey and maybe orange. Taste is sweet/sout, well balanced, with evident wheat taste. Very dry finish. It’s different than most of weizen, because I did’t taste the banana note, not really, but maybe also for this is a very interesting and particular weizen. The finish is very dry. Carbonation is perfect. Very good beer.

Bottle. Opaque golden color, white head. Slightly sour, fruity aroma. Very balanced, fruity flavor with hints of smoke and rich bready notes. Medium-full body, medium-high carbonation. Very nice example of the style!

Közepes, tartós hab, narancsos árnyalatú, félbarnába hajló szín. Búzás, citrusos, citrushéjas, fűszeres illat. Búzás, banános, fűszeres ízvilág, némi citrushéjas és virágos beütéssel. Közepesen testes, közepesen szénsvas, enyhén keserű. Nagyon ízletes búzasör.

Nice clear golden appearnace - nice head. Aroma is mild ripe fruit (melon/banana) but cut with a sharper hoppy aroma. Lovely taste - full fruit sweetness but mild bitterness. Lovely on the palate as well - quite creamy, soft carbonation but not flat and long aftertaste. Quality

Bottle 500ml (Beer Hunters). Bright orange, medium-bodied steady white head. Banana, clove in the nose. Medium-bodied. Sweetish banana, clove, bubblegum. Very classic hefeweizen flavour. You can't improve this much with standard ingredients.

Pours with a thick white head that stays quite long. Color is that of typical hefeweizen, a bit to the darker side. Aroma is fresh and sweet combining sensations of hefeweizens and pilsner. Pilsner like hoppiness, wheat beer -like banana and "yellow fruitiness", some spring or rain water. Palate is interesting. It's thick, flat, balanced and carbonated. Taste is fresh and almost watery, but really watery. It's just fresh as spring water, which reminds of wateriness, but is not watery. Slight bittery hoppiness, but not too fermented taste. The wheat beer characteristics are now much more underpronounced. It's quite dry and unsweet for a hefeweizen. But it's an interesting "compression" of the hefeweizen style. It's fresh and dry, densely carbonated, a bit sour. Spring water -like.
