Overall its not bad, but the weakness in feel doesn’t bring out the taste very well. I am not exactly desiring or feeling a need to want to have this again. Its unfortunately not that memorable. blipp (9172) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Draft. Pours amber orange with an off white head. Sweet malty aroma, with some maple sugar notes. The flavor has some caramel sweetness, toffee, and maple. Nice. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 3, 2012
On tap at Tyler’s, Durham, a while back. Dark brown pour with reddish highlights. Not the most substantial appearance, but the beer had a decent head to it. Soft, chewy aromas of oatmeal, a hint of molasses, dry hops, the whole coming across like some sort of cookie affair. Thinnish mouthfeel for the style but the flavors were enjoyable, with some sweetness and more roasts coming through. Solid porter. Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - APR 27, 2012
Tap. Dark black body with mocha Head. Coffee, wheat, bubbly and lead. Short finish. Decent after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - APR 11, 2012
Draft at special brews. Pours black with a dense and bubbly tan head. Dense sheeting lace. Mild chocolatey nose. Not much there. Creamy medium body with light carb. Chocolate on the mid palate with some ashy roastiness there. Long roasty finish.

Draft. Blackish beer with a tan head. Oat and light roast aroma. Roast and oat flavor with malt. Medium bodied. Roast and oat lingers with malt. Aml42000 (622) - Washington, USA - MAR 20, 2012
Thin, lacking richness and extremely overcarbonated porter. This gets a 2 because the nose showed some nice roasted aromatics. reggiedunlop (3718) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 18, 2012
Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has roastiness and mild smoke...just a bit of dark chocolate. Flavor has nice smokiness and faint underlying dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium and fairly lively...finish is soft and mildly smoky. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2012
[4170-20111203] Tap. Chocolate roasted malt grain aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting creamy brown head and thick lacing. More lightly burnt chocolate malt in the flavour. Full body. Good balance, nice chocolate notes throughout. (7/4-/7/4/15) 3.7

On tap. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, maple. Flavor is sweet upfront with maple sugar, sugary caramel (creme brûlée), hazelnut, light roasted malt. Light palate. Definitely on the sweet side but not overpowering. Pretty tasty.
