Pours a golden yellow color with a white head. Yeast, funk, apple, peach, pear, light citrus, floral and biscuit aroma and flavors. Medium light body and lively carbonation. Fruit and yeast finish. reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 27, 2016
Served in 12oz tulip glass at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pouring a hazy golden color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is lemon with some cereal grains and hints of yeast. Taste is a lemon tartness with a light grapefruit bitterness and a malty sweetness. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, a well done brew that is nicely balanced in both body and flavor. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 29, 2016
Mini growler picked up tonight at the Boise COOP.. Pretty cheap at I think $8ish.. Clean pretty standard spicy saison notes that remind me of light clove and white peppercorn... interesting mix of oat and wheat flavor.. ginger with warmth and something that I associate with grain of paradise??? Nice saison for sure but relies too much on the spices. BuckeyeBoy (8568) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 18, 2016
On tap at boise CoOp. Pours out a golden topped with a nice head. Nose is sweet wheat some spice and a nice grain. Taste is more of the spice wheat. KyotoLefty (10721) - Kyoto, JAPAN - DEC 12, 2015
Tap at Bud. Orange, hazy, fine low head. Proper saison nose, grains, citrus, spicy yeast. Sorachi Ace-like flavor, though it seems that is just the spices, biscuits, oak, vanilla. Cedar. A bit too spicy, but crisp and good enough. Get rid of most of the spices and it would be great.

This release doesn’t seem like it should work when you read the deScription but the outcome manages to twist a traditional saison into a unique American harvest ale. If it were bottled and widely available it could carve out its own niche easily.
Aroma / Appearance - A cloudy base and fresh pasty white head shine. Starch, wheat, and light lemons offset the scent of recently baled hay.
Flavor / Palate - Bright 7UP, lemons, hay, and fresh grass clippings emerge after just a few sips. The blossoming transition develops a floral aspect that blooms into a strong finish. By taking the saison and reinventing it Anderson Valley has left their own mark on the style.
Tap at Watering Hole. Pours a clear amber with almost no head. Kolsch like aromas with lots of fruit esters: peach, banana and some grape. Taste is very similar to a kolsch. This is not a saison at all I guess. Almost no carbonation as well. Very bland and simple kolsch under the guise of saison. Not a fan. alex_leit (5198) - Minsk, BELARUS - AUG 4, 2015
Draft. Pale amber color. Aroma and flavor with a touch of acidity, fruit, pear and apple, wet cellar, malt sweetness and light sour apple. Like. bubblehouse (1556) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 30, 2015
Really good tasting. A little week on aroma but really tasty. Looks pretty dark as well. crossovert (14006) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2014
Draft. An intensely spicy and herbal beer. Slightly soapy, coriander, mint, and anise dominate.
