Pours an opaque brownish black on tap with fluffy tan head that leaves great lace. Aroma is a nice balance of roast, chocolate, and piney hops. Taste follows, dry and bitter, but the roast opens up more as it warms up. Very nice balance, good carbonation, better than I was expecting. kaser (6314) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 17, 2014
Dry and bitter first sip. Black pour from draft at emporium. Sticky off white head. Sweet yet watery aroma. Slight nutty and pretty hoppy. Descent. Cirrhosis (1283) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 31, 2014

Everything taste toasted, with coffee hints, and grapefruit. Not a fan of this style, this is a crap review by me…..sorry beer you deserve better. reebtogi (6315) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 30, 2014
Pint on tap at Beer Revolution’s Edmonton location pours black in color with a small off-white head that leavers some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is light roasted grains with some pine and grapefruit and a hint of chocolate. Taste is a roasted grain and pine, grapefruit hop bitterness balanced nicely with a light chocolate and malty sweetness. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A well done black IPA that I really enjoyed tasting. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 27, 2014
