With Wee Geech, we aimed to satisfy the hop heads out there, while still offering a sessionable and balanced ale. We employed the use of some very characteristic late-hops to provide maximum flavor and aroma without a tongue-scraping bitterness. The aroma hops have a very piney, citrusy, and grassy element which we further emphasized by adding fresh cut lemongrass late in the kettle. It also imparts a spicy ginger character that you may not be able to put your finger on. The malt body was kept simple, clean, and slightly biscuity to let the hops shine through.

An uninspiring aroma, but pours with a dark copper hue and thin white head. The taste is malty and slightly sweet with a slight bitter finish. Not a bad brew, but not very inspiring.

Note review on tap at bitter creek pours out a hazy amber topped with a small head. nose is bread malts earthy hop and some grapefruit pithy notes. Taste is more of the bread malts along with the pithy grapefruit hops bitterness.

Draft to taster. Looks good; a transparent gold with foamy white head. Smells of citrus hops and mildly sweet grain alongside notes of lemongrass. Tastes like it smells, but more citrus. Peel than citrus. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. Good, but a little zesty.

4/07/2011: Anderson Valley Wee Geech... Aroma: Nice, bright tangerine/clementine citrus hops, light toffee malts. Appearance: Coppery orange coor with a slight haze; frothy off-white crown. Flavor: DRY, slightly buttery at first then more wheaty and toasty with a touch of caramel; toffee; GRASSY; floral hops; moderate(+) bitterness that clings; did I mention that this beer is pretty DRY?! Palate: Body is medium; calm mouthfeel. Overall: Not too bad, but a bit weak; good profile overall.

Draught (growler fill) from Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #42 for this beer.

It smelled like skipping through a dew covered hop field. A goat piss appearance with a frothy head. The mashy hop taste leaves a long after taste the i would rather not linger.

Cybercat (6015) - Georgia, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Comes out of the tap a clear amber, not much head but that may be an artifact of the pour. Aroma is malty and fruity with a firm hint of hops. Flavor is mainly hoppy, contrary to the aroma, woody and a little evergreen, with some subtle citrus notes. Texture is smooth with good fizz, but not a whole lot of body. Definitely worthy of at least a try!

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Hazy amber, small head. Grapefruit and bread aroma. Dry and clean, medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Mild resiny bitterness.

On tap. Clear golden color, good off-white head, leaving plenty lace. Very nice grassy spicy hop aroma for such a light brew. Reminds me of the 5 Rabbits 5 Grass I tried a couple days ago, but less dank, more of a balance. Good moderate bitter taste. Good lighter crisp carbonation, dry finish. Great session pale ale, satisfyingly on the hoppy side. It’d be cool to see cans of this distributed. Would quaff again.

hoppy but kinda nutty and roasted. aftertaste is much more full than the bitter nose would lead you to believe. owns hard.
