hoppy but kinda nutty and roasted. aftertaste is much more full than the bitter nose would lead you to believe. owns hard. krumbum (1109) - truckee, California, USA - JUN 12, 2013
It smelled like skipping through a dew covered hop field. A goat piss appearance with a frothy head. The mashy hop taste leaves a long after taste the i would rather not linger. Slipstream (2710) - USA - JUL 8, 2011
Bomber from Whole Foods. There is a dash of green in the dark tan pour. Top of the heap aroma - sweet mellow hops, freshly baked cookies. green leaves. The taste is peppy and hoppy (Amarillo? Just a guess). It is pretty light on the palate, and not sugary or heavy on the malts. There are some green hops in the aftertaste. A really good PA - glad I had it fresh. jredmond (8787) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 1, 2011
Draft at RnH with Linh for the Anderson Valley Event. Pours a slightly hazy, amber body with spotty white lacing. Aroma is a great combo of pine and citrus hop. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet citrus, pine, and soap. bhensonb (15861) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Tap at the Graduate in Davis. Pours light golden amber with a foamy off-white head. Aroma seems piney. Med body. Starts floral, turns piney, seems a bit spicey. Very dry; malt rather hidden; finishes very bitter.

Growler shared by shigadeyo. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was was lasting with good lacing. Moderate spruce hop and yeast aroma. Medium body with a dry slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded. Tap @ Bittercreek: Pours a copper color with a nice white head. The nose is fresh with some piney hops and a tight toasty background of malts. The flavor is fresh and crisp with clean citrusy hops. Very nice pale ale with a nice handle on everything. Tight. troopie (2463) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAY 15, 2011
Draught. Copper pour with thin white head. Barman said they scooped the foam off. Pleasant hop and floral aroma. Fuller body than one would expect from such a beer. Malt flavour with floral notes. Clean finish NobleSquirrel (3439) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 12, 2011
Draft at Fountainhead. I’m really not sure why this is called an EPA. It is a low abv APA. Anyway, pours an attractive golden amber with a sticky white head. Nose is spicy and citrusy, faint caramel malt notes as well. On taste, soft bitterness and grassy and fruity hops. Light estery fruitiness as well. Light and refreshing. Pretty decent pint, this one. Comes out of the tap a clear amber, not much head but that may be an artifact of the pour. Aroma is malty and fruity with a firm hint of hops. Flavor is mainly hoppy, contrary to the aroma, woody and a little evergreen, with some subtle citrus notes. Texture is smooth with good fizz, but not a whole lot of body. Definitely worthy of at least a try!
