Pours a dark brown color with a nice creamy tan head. Aroma is of dark chocolate, milky, sweet roasted malts, and a slight alcohol scent. Flavor is sweet, milky, chocolately, almost like a chocolate milkshake with a dark chocolate bitter finish, slightlly dry. Overall, a very enjoyable beer.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2007 Black pour, huge tan head. Roasted malts, and bitter sweet milk chocolate, caramel for the sweetness, graininess from the oats and lightly hopped. Very drinkable and very easy going, but could have a little more body. This would be a good stout for a newbie.

Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2005
Bottle: Very nice roasted coffee aroma with chocolate and light black licorice. Pours a very dark brown, virtually black with a small tan head that is short lasting. Flavor of roasted coffee, grain, licorice, light chocolate. A sort of fruitiness hides in the background. Lightly hopped roasted coffee finish. A very nice stout. Chocolate flavor started off light, but really got bigger the more I drank.
