Bottle from Winco. Dark brown / near black body, small fluffy beige head, fades but not all the way. gentle roast grain aroma, mildly sweet. Some burnt toast and coffee. Jet black color with reasonable brown foam. Aromas initialy slight hit of hops, followed by dark chocolate, toasty and charcoaly aswell as somewhat milky and oaty. Palate, medium body with smooth oily texture leaving short and weak finish. Taste is fairly balanced and slightly malty bitter, carrying flavours of milky oat poridge with burned toast with light nuttynes to it. Overall, even though not heavyweight and punching with flavours, it is tame, smooth, milky and easy going brew. As simple it is it is still very nice beer! Black colored, thick, small tan non lasting head. Aroma is of chocolate, oat, roasted malt, milk chocolate, nutty, milky. Taste is medium sweet milk chocolate, bit roasted malt, dark chocolate, milky, coffee, oat, nutty, light+ bitterness, sweetish finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, milky.

On tap at Craft Room. Impressive black body with a tiny thick beige head. Initial light chocolate, oats and powdered tomato aroma loses the slightly vegetal note as it grows, thankfully. Light soft taste, chocolate, lentils, oats, light fig, very light roastiness. Surrounded by a ring of very very low tartness and a barely perceptible herbal hoppy touch. Slightly too dry in the end. Definitely not a bad beer, but in this shape not nearly as good as some others on the market, even locally brewed.

Roasted oat aroma with a cocoa finish. Taste is a smooth stout, full flavored, roasted oats and some malt. On the dry side but not bitter. Great balance between sweet and bitter, just right in the middle. Very smooth. Just an all around good oatmeal stout.
