With its deep, dark brown-black color, thick, full-bodied, velvety-smooth mouth feel, mocha character, and, strong yet subtle hop bite, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout is one of the thickest, richest, and most complex stouts on the market today.

Pours black with very low carbonation, small tan head that vanished after 10 seconds. No lacing. Aroma of roasted barley and red wine (!). Tastes well roasted barley, oats, slightly tart, dark fruits, medium bitter towards the finish. Light body, thin feel, flat, long finish. An average stouts, tastes actually good but it’s too thin and watery.

Dunkel, wenig Schaum. In der Nase Röstaroma. Im Trunk Kaffee, cremig, süß, süffig. Hinten nur etwas bitter. Schönes Sommerstout.

Bottle. Aroma: caramel, chocolate, coffee, toast, dough, vanilla. App: black, minimal tan head. Taste: surprisingly sweet, almost sour in its bite, a bit of coffee and chocolate. Palate: medium-full feel, fairly long finish. Overall: A bit odd for a stout, good, but different.

Smooth stout with a thin brown head. Pleasant but not overwhelming. Very drinkable.

Deliciosa.

From old tasting notes. Opaque black brown color. Bubbly tan head. Sweet roasted malt aroma. Bittersweet roasted malt flavor. Smooth chocolaty mouthfeel. Rich and fullbodied with a dry satiny finish. An interesting cross between Mackeson an Guinness. Very good.
