Clear dark black color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, burnt, cofee, dark berry sour. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light berry acidic - sour and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 
12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small chocolate brown head. Aroma is smooth chocolate and oatmeal, dark roasted malt. Smooth mouthfeel, yet lighter than I would have expected. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of roasted malt, but also lighter notes of caramel. UPDATED: SEP 6, 2013 Deep black ... sour roast malt nose ... odd!.... nice roast little chocolate but the flavour isnt so sour but its got quite a lot of lemon [this is 4 months ive had it and may be past bbf, i cant see one ] decent but might have been better if id had it earlier

21st September 2008. Opaque black beer. Tastes more porter to me. A lively sourness. Smooth and not too dry. A soft tasty porter, Innit?
