22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, red/green apple, pear, white grape, white wine, gin, juniper berry, sea salt, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, honey, hay, herbal, and grass; with light notes of pepper, coconut, spruce, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, salt, spices, bourbon barrels, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, red/green apple, pear, white grape, white wine, gin, juniper berry, sea salt, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, honey, hay, herbal, and grass; with light notes of pepper, coconut, spruce, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tart/sourness and light yeast/juniper/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour lemon, lime, red/green apple, pear, white grape, white wine, gin, juniper berry, sea salt, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, honey, hay, herbal, grass, light pepper/funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, salt, spices, bourbon barrels, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/tart/sourness balance; and mildly increasing pucker after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/sourness and juniper/oak spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/saline, and fairly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent barrel aged Gose. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, salt, spices, bourbon barrels, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; with the modestly lactic/tannic/drying finish. Has a more flavorful malt body than the base beer with the higher ABV, but is also more lactic/acidic. Better Gin botanical presence, and great overall barrel integration. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. bytemesis (9632) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 10, 2018
Bottle. Pours lightly hazy golden, medium white head, dissipates to nice residual and lacing. Aroma is light, lime zest, sea air, hints of oak. Flavor has strong oak tannin, vanilla and buttery notes along with a light tartness and pinch of salt. Medium light body. Interesting concoction. HonusWagner (2250) - Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2017
Interesting, nose is herbal and sweet bourbon, taste is of course tart, no real brine but the herbal quality is detectable underneath the sweetness, interesting overall. Strykzone (7854) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 28, 2017
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. White haze in this golden beer. A bigger white head. Nose of lemon, coriander, and salt. Flavor is quite tart and dry. Pretty much into berliner weiss territory. Lychee along with the before mentioned. Gin is also tasted and becomes dominant. Something like sulfur underneath. The juniper and tartness make this difficult for me to enjoy. hayduke (5751) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 28, 2017
Shared with Strykzone of Facebook Chat. Pours hazy gold with a rocky white head. Nose is lemon and salt. Distinct tartness in the aroma. Medium body. Flavor is lemon, some fruit, salt, and some spiciness like juniper and pepper. I do not detect the barrel. Finishes lemon tart. Tasty.

Draft at Churchkey. Pours golden with a thick white head. Leaves a shitload of lacing in the glass. Complex notes of bourbon, wood, salt and botanicals in nose and tongue. Finished clean. Just a lovely beer. marcus (10976) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 12, 2017
On tap at Capitol Hop Shop. Pours copper with a thick off-white head and a fruit and bourbon aroma. There is a medium-bodied mixed malt flavor with a lot of salt, vanilla, juniper and a hint of bourbon. amikhaylov (150) - Moscow, RUSSIA - NOV 8, 2017
Good, extra sour gose with some botanicals. Brown coloured with aroma of wood, some tartness in taste, saltiness is almost unnoticable. thejackpacker (769) - East Sussex, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2017
Keg at Brewdog Farringdon. This is a darn fine beer, highly unsusual. It is lip smacking sour and there is a lot of gin and tonic coming from it. Much more exciting than a similar Beavertown project one I had which was also delicious. Long may gin and t combine with beer. radagast83 (8705) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - SEP 27, 2017
Draft pour at Snallygaster 2017. Poured a clear golden color with a small foamy white head. Aroma was light tart notes, some grain. Very mild lemon, salt, some additional spices. Light soapy notes. Floral, herbal spices. Light barrel. It wasn’t refreshing and the flavorings just didn’t meld well with me compared to the other gose beers I’ve had from them.
