UPDATED: DEC 1, 2017 Really good example of a gose. Refreshing with the slightly salty taste working well with the melon.

Bottle from Albertsons. Clear pale straw in color. Salty nose with a touch of sweet fruitiness. Tart melon flavors up front with a bit of sweetness. Sippable and easy sipping. Pretty tasty.

Still need to get my head around the style but a welcome change from PA/IPA. Clean tang, sour lemon, good presence across the palate. Quite a light touch but far out so so suitable for cheeky arvo drinking.

Tap at Bobs Bar - clean melon palate not overdone - slightly sour and salty as expected - very refreshing and easily smashed.

Draught at The Brewdog bar, York. Hazy gold with white head. Well there is a sweet melon flavour to this from the off, but then a sharp tartness comes through, bittering. The saltiness is also apparent throughout but in a strangely refreshing way. Plenty of depth. Pretty decent.

12 oz. can from Clifton Market. Pours a clear pale gold with a fizzy white head that fizzles out completely after a short time. There isn't much to the aroma, and aside from a faint watermelon rind, it could pass for a pale lager. The aroma brings more of the same melon, with lemon, pale malts, and minerals. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a light, dry, barely tart mouthfeel. Not much there but I guess it's crushable and serves its purpose.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2017 Can from Liquor Express. It poured a clear yellow gold with a fluffy white head that quickly dissipated. The aroma has some light citrus notes. It has a salty and tart taste.

Can. Pale yellow with a decent off white head. Nose is melon, straw, grains, grass and lemon. Taste comprises melon sherbet, damp straw, funk, light salt and apricot. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light sour edge. Decent Gose.
