Pours dark brown with some nice lacing. Very mild on the palate. Could totally drink this with some meat pizza. Lighter in body than I would have expected from the nose. Not such a bad thing though. It was pretty easy drinking. Tobacco, chocolate, and coffee. Mocha dessert. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 5, 2010
Pours dark brown with a light beige head. Aroma of tobacco and sun dried tomatoes. Lighter side of medium bodied with a slight watery texture. Flavor is similar to the aroma. I taste sun dried tomatoes and tobacco. Weird. I well..fuck it. Somewhat different for a porter. Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 5, 2010
Pours a fading beige head with a chocolate brown body. Aroma is toasted malt and milk cocoa. Mild, subdued roasted and cocoa notes. Finish is thin and needing. A tobacco note. bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 5, 2010
Dark brown body with lasting tan head. Chocolate and then some coffee notes in the aroma. Roasted notes also come through in the taste, medium body, good carbonation and nice lacing. Quite a nice porter. gam (4037) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 15, 2010

Dark woody pour, nice head, lots of lace. Creamy coffee aroma. Smokey, with a bitter coffee and a hint of smoke. Some nice dark chocolate flavors, nice carb. A bit of CO2 tartness at the end. Tasty brew, but not spectacular.

Appearance: Pours almost black with a nice tan head, leaving nice lacing in the glass
Aroma: Roasted malts, chocolate and nutty
Taste: Roasted malts, nutty and chocolate
22oz in mug. Deep chestnut with medium, lasting buff head. Nose is ginseng, licorice, vanilla, slight metallic. Flavor is a bit dull; some roast, light caramel, and herb. Mouthfeel is pleasantly thick but finish is resinous. Meh. I feel like I really want a porter to be either gentle and sessionable or a palate-busting, tongue-scraping flavor bomb. This does neither, it’s just kinda... beer. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Dark brown pour with tan head and lace. Coffee and light chocolate aroma. Roasted malt and light chocolate flavor. A tad thin and watery but very drinkable. Slipstream (2677) - USA - JUN 13, 2010
Black pour. Funky but fine yeasty coffee aroma. Roasty flavor with coffee and grassy hop notes that develop nicely on the palate. A touch of Coca-Cola in there too. A very good porter.
