Refreshing porter. Nicely sweet but not too heavy. Nice carbonation bite adds to mouth-feel. I really enjoyed this one. Drake (13726) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 2, 2010
22 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a large frothy dark brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of dark roasted malts, chocolate, hops, coffee and a faint smoky note. Taste is bitter hops, chocolate, roasted malts, bitter coffee in the finish. Smooth, creamy, medium bodied. Tasty beer. edward_violet (63) - Michigan, USA - FEB 9, 2010
Deep dark pour, medium head.
Medium body... chocolate, coffee, and near-bread-like malt notes. Piney hops. Major pine and dark chocolate... "chocolate-covered-pine-needles," if those exist, would be similar to this in a few ways.
Very nice. Will buy again once located. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Bottle. Pours a dark brune body with an off white head. Malty chocoalte, some coco and nutty chocolate tones. Some light minerals and mildly roast y bitter hoppiness. Thin quaffable porter.

Bottle from the Wine and Cheese Place. Pours a deep coffee brown with a creamy beige head with some spotty lacing. Nose is dominated by roasted malt and ground coffee. Very roasty on the palate with good carbonation. A decent porter. SuIIy (1983) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JAN 8, 2010
Bomber. Pours a dark brown color with a small off white head that recedes to a small ring and a light filmy island. Nose is mostly dry and chocolatey with a bit of ash. Palate is fluffy and smooth, with a light residue on the tongue. Flavors are mostly chocolate with a bit of tobacco and some ash. Finishes with a very light bitterness. bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - DEC 3, 2009
Bomber. Pours clear dark brown with a thick, persistent and lacy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, nuts with a bit of pine. Medium body, lightly oily, with moderate carbonation. Taste of chocolate, nuts with a bit of pine, and a bit of ashes on the finish. fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2009
Bottle 22fl.oz.Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2009
Clear dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, caccao - mokka, vanilla notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
22oz bottle. Pours a deep brown colored body with a creamy, finger-width, light brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is a slightly nutty caramel, some bread, and a light chocolate roast. Flavor is better with more of a creamy roast that lasts from beginning to end. Slightly bready caramels, nuts, and a light chocolate accompany the increasing roast taste that stays at a moderate level. A real approachable roast. Just a hint of raisin fruitiness as well. Finishes slightly dry and moderately bitter with an aftertaste that lingers for a good amount of time. Creamy, nutty caramel/chocolate roastiness in the lingering flavor. Medium to full bodied, very smooth, and moderately carbonated. Overall, the roasts in the flavor really make this beer. They’re distinct, but stay very balanced. Creamy, mostly sweet flavor accompanies the balancing roasts well. Not bad.
