22oz bomber from Jonathan Ron. Pours a deep dark brown with a small foamy light beige head. Aroma of vegtables, mustiness, chocolate and caramel. Flavor of sour milk and chocolate that is bitter and sour. This seems like a BMC attempt at a Porter and just weak all around. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2011
On tap at Anderson Valley in August 2009. Reviewed from notes.
Pours near black with a light mocha head. Some lacing. Nose brings forward faint hints of chocolate and coffee along with a bit of a buttery toffee. Taste brings a bit more butter, which is quite unpleasant. Coffee and roasted malt cover up a bit, but not enough. Feel is of a moderate body and somewhat dry. Not one of their better offerings.

Typical porter with some roastiness in taste and aroma but I found it had an odd watery taste. As if water had a taste. xproudfoot (750) - Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2006
burtn coffee aroma, a little bit of choc fruit. purplish bruise-black with nice short light brown head. bitter coffee with a little sugar. porter is getting boring. meh. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAR 5, 2008
22 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark brown-ruby brown color. The head was thin and light tan. Aroma was of molasses, buttery caramel, steeping barley, and a hint of wet dog. Dry on the tongue up front with some sweetness at the end. The mouth feel was disappointingly thin. I tasted cocoa, caramel, and a sprinkle of roasted malt. There was more carbonation that I had expected. I didn’t get much in the way of hop flavor or bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle. Low off-white lasting fluffy head. Very dark almost black red brown body. Roasted barley malt caramel coffee choccolate aroma. Roasted barley malt caramel coffee flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 28, 2013
22oz bottle, for $2.50. Probably an older bottle. Kind of a metallic, oxidized aroma. Some sweet milk chocolate. Moderate sweet taste. Kind of cloying finish. Dark brown, near black color. Minimal off-white head. Good lace. Medium body. Lighter, crisp carbonation. Kind of sticky finish. Tastes like a very old porter that might have at some point been decent marcus (10559) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 21, 2007
This black ale poured with a fluffy tan head. The flavor is chocolate malt, but is way too thin. There is a slightly bitter finish. This is a disappointing version of one of my favorite styles. thegreenrooster (4512) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 25, 2009
Pour is a black with a little red shining thru. Aroma is had you coffee-chocolate combo but very faint. Flavor also has some earthyness and roasted malts but oveall quite watery. Very easy to drink with nothing offensive. I’ve had better. SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - APR 24, 2009
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a clear dark brown with red hues and a beige head. Aroma of some dark roast and faint citrus. Flavor of some dark roast and faint citrus. Mouth feel is light-medium body, kinda watery, medium high carbonation. Overall, not the best porter I have had....
