Pours a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a small brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, bread, nuts and a light bit of spicy hop aroma. Taste is rich melanoidins from the Munich malts, chocolate, toast, roast, nuttiness and a bit of astringent roast malt on the finish however this is acceptable for the style. Mouth is a nice medium body beer that’s not heavy with a moderate carbonation. Great dunkel that shows richness of the Munich malts and a light bit of nobel hops to compliment it. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 27, 2014
Pours a clear dark brown with a thin white head. Aroma is bread crusts, rich roasted malts, chocolate, nuts and toffee. Flavour is bread crusts, roasted malts, moderate bitterness, mild sweetness, notes of chocolate & toffee and a medium dry finish. Salmoniform (1272) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - OCT 31, 2014
Poured from tallboy to glass. Dark copper brown hue with thick tan head. Aroma is cereal, malt, slight sulphur, clove. Mouthfeel is refreshing with a light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is sweet followed by a nice spicy hop bitterness. Overall this is an enjoyable fall brew. SSSteve (4006) - - MAY 31, 2013

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a very dark amber color with a khaki head. The aroma is super bready with multigrain and a hint of caramel. Maybe there’s some light floral hops in the background. The flavor is very dry and grainy. Pretty complex malt profile. I enjoyed this one a lot. A very good, standard dark lager. troopie (2341) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - JUN 3, 2013
Tin. Pours very dark brown with long lasting white head. Mexican sugar aroma. Flavour is not sugar sweet, but malty with a bit of sweetness. Some nut, and hop, in the finish Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JUN 14, 2013
Had this on draft at the brewery. Some green apple, malty, slight tartness, nice bready finish. This was a surprise to me, very nice. asedzie (827) - San Francisco, California, USA - AUG 2, 2013
Can. Mild and bright soapy hop aroma, clean and toasty malt profile. Flavor is rich and creamy with hints of toffee and a bitter herbal afterglow. Overall a great interpretation of the mexican dark lager style. bulldogops (2495) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 15, 2014
Rating #1042 - March 27, 2014 - @avbc tap takeover @revolutionYEG. Little bit of tan bubbly foam on a bodacious black brew. Lots of cool toasted malt chocolate coffee aromas. Palate is light crisp and full of flavour, but very light bodied. This is quaffable for damn sure. Beauty
