With a brilliant, deep copper hue and creamy beige-colored head, our Fall Hornin’ Pumpkin Ale has inviting aromas of caramelized malt and baking bread with highlights of cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and seasonal spices. The pleasantly creamy mouthfeel and silky body embrace the sweet caramel flavors and tang of spices (with just a hint of hops) that ends in a smooth, round finish.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2016) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, herbal nose with notes of roasted malt, vegetables and celery. Malty, herbal taste with chocolate, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and a gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. A bit too much pumpkin for me, but it tastes better than the nose suggests. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine and Liquours. Dark brown body with thin head. Nose of pumpkin, spices, fruits. Taste is strong pumpkin of front, malts and toasty spices. Nice texture and warming finish. But the pumpkin was too strong for me personally.

brown color with orange edges, almost opaque, with a nice creamy head, ocher, sticky and medium retention. Carbon intensity is intermediate and bubble size often. In the first instance arise Aroma roasted cereal notes, with a hint of sugary fruit, roast profile is perceived with spicy nuances and a delicate mouth cutoff herbáceo.En memory goes down smoothly leaving malty fruit accompanied by profiles of moderate intensity, the presence of the pumpkin is unequivocal, leaving a caramel tone. It ends with a soft drink herbal nuance and varied spicy memories as cinnamon or nutmeg. The body is intermediate and strength of carbonation moderada.Utiliza Maris Otter malt, Munich, Crystal, Chocolate and pumpkin puree. Hops: Bravo

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Clear red-brown color, small off-white to beige head. Horrible aroma of sugar, sweetness, (Dutch) "speculaas". Taste lightly malts, a bit sweet, some (Dutch) "gebakken balkenbrij" speculaas flavors. Weird, but drinkable.

355ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Looks: Clear ruby brown colour; Less than one-quarter finger hand and off-white foam which fades in 15 seconds; Good sticky lacing and active small carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant and spicy malt, with strong nutmeg, strong cinnamon, strong banana bread, light pumpkin, caramel, sugar, light dark fruits, lemon and light grass.

Taste: Mid to strong sweet amber malt, with strong roastyness, strong nuts, strong caramel, strong cinnamon, floral, strong molasses, strong spices, biscuits, lemon, strong bitter hops and sharp grass.

Body: Mid to light body. Slick and quite thick palate.

Mouth Feel: Almost everything is strong right off the batt: roasty amber malt, nuttyness, cinnamon and spices, big sweet molasses, topped with sharp bitter lemons. Only the body is not as thick or creamy as advertised, but this is immense, dryish and very yummy!

Hoppiness: Strong spices, lemon and grass in nose. Taste is the same but a lot stronger and sharper plus floral. Bitterness is strong for an abrupt, strong astringent sweet malty finish.

After Taste: Dry. Very spicy and sweet-bitter to mouth.

Comments: I never expect a pumpkin ale as strong and intense as this one: great banana bread aroma with loads of nutmegs and cinnamons, roasty nutty malt with big sweet spicy taste. Bitter hoppiness and dry bready to the tongue. A great winter warmer I must say!

Bottle. Spice, nutmeg and pumpkin aroma. Dark brown in colour with creamy off white head. Spice, cloves and nutmeg with subtle pumpkin flavours and some hops. Full bodied and a slightly bitter finish. Good brew.

Mahogany color with creamy beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, pumpkin and spices, all in a very good balance. Taste is also balanced, not too sweet, not to spicy. I get pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and some bitterness on the finish. Body and carbonation are really smooth. This is one of the best pumpkin ales I had so far, mostly because it’s really well balanced, smooth and not overspiced or overly sweet.
