COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

MALTS:
Pale Two-Row, Victory

HOPS:
Columbus, Chinook, Cascade

12 oz bottle from Total Wine and More The D/IPA poured a cloudy light amber with a thick frothy head and lacing. The aroma of pine and grapefriut hits you immediately. This is a complex beer with bitter resin blended with citrus. The medium body ale had average carbonation. The finish has a lingering grapefruit bitterness in the back of your mouth.

Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, thick white head. Aroma is fruity hops, pine, grapefruit, some resin and peach. Flavor is quite fruity, nice bitterness, very well balanced and very refreshing. Nice body. Good beer.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 Pours gold orange, lightly filtered. Huge citrus nose with some pine. Decent hop bite with good balance from bready malt backbone. Need to revisit this one Came back to this after almost two months. Really loving the hop balance, along with the grapefruit aroma. Upping my rating on this to one of my favorites. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Pours a little cloudy with medium head, beautiful lacing. Excellent citrussy smell with malty sweet background. Balanced sweet/hoppy taste. Cascade clearly noticeable. Quite bitter aftertaste. Great ale.
