COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust. Brewed with a “heelch” (that means “a lot” in Boontling) of Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, our double IPA has a palate pleasing bitterness that is artfully balanced with a full-bodied malt foundation. With a deep color of polished brass and a nose that sings of pink grapefruit and redwood needles, the rich biscuit-like malt flavors are intertwined with hints of vanilla, mangoes, and peppercorns leading to a deep, warming finish.

MALTS:
Pale Two-Row, Victory

HOPS:
Columbus, Chinook, Cascade

bomber. Poured hazy medium amber with a large beige head. Big resiny aroma of citrus hops. Full body, creamy carbonation with a chewy mouthfeel. Malty base with lots of hop characteristics like pine, grapefruit, apricot, finishing with a peppery note. Lingering finish.

Robust malt on the nose but the taste develops well. Comes off sweet but the resin and pine notes carry through on the palette. Nice bitterness lingers which balances out the sweet notes.

Pours a marmalade Amber with a thick white head with great lacing. Nose is grapefruit, pine and resin hops. Taste is biscuity and marmalade malts up front melding into a pine and resin bitter hoppy finish. Quite sweet for a IIPA perhaps some residual sugars but still quite drinkable.

Bottle : I did read couple of the reviews before i opened the bottle, and i had a rather different experience than the previous reviews, i think its a beautiful IPA, not an imperial IPA, it focuses mostly of the baldy flavours of an IPA, the IBU & alcohol are too mild for an imperial IPA, the colour is truly stunning!!, and texture which very refined, feels very mouthful !, but it’s not something you would drive 50km to try !!, its very nice but that’s all.

I bought this beer at Amstein and I drank it at Bonfol. The color is orange and copper, thin foam, staying a good moment, average carbonation. The taste is what I like bitter and some sweetness, grapes and at the noise we smell a touch of alcohol.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/3/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Awesome appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that lightly increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very good DIPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
