12oz. bottle. Orange amber with a tall rocky white head. Citrus and piney hop aromatics. Ruddy herbal hop flavor up front, develops citric and metallic notes with underlying slightly sweet maltiness.. Some resin in the finish with more herbal tones. Mouthfeel is light medium, rather dry. mkgrenwel (619) - North Shore, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 12, 2006
Great fluffy head with perfect lacing. Nice sweet malt up front with a hige smack of bitterness in the back. Not a huge amount of hop flavor to go with all that bitterness. Some pine and slight hints of citrus. Silky, slick AV mouthfeel. xproudfoot (750) - Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 12, 2006
Bottle. Skunk bud aroma, real nice, folar, citrusy, pungent, and weedy. A nice amber hue with a low retention beige head produced by aggro pour. Bitterness is upfront, a hinto of greprefruit and honeysweet malt, and it stcks around a bit in the finish. Refreshing and satisfying, 2 dimensional it’s all right... Starting with its piney citrus aroma an aubrun appearance, this ipa is balanced and refreshing. lethe (177) - New York, USA - FEB 6, 2006
Copper-colored pour with medium froth head. Nose is floral and hoppy but a little muted. Palate is medium-bodied and assertively hoppy. Flavor is ipa enjoyment with a noticeable grapefruit bitterness that is bold and mouth-coating. Dryness lasts. An above average ipa that makes up for in flavor depth what it lacks in aroma.

nice floral and grass notes with this dark amber pour. malt background was rather one dimensional but overall a little better than average for the style. thanks to Fordest for the bottle. MikeMac (185) - Wyandotte, Michigan, USA - FEB 2, 2006
Dark Orangish color with a bubbly white head. Floral hop aroma nothing much else there . flavors were dry and hoppy at first with a soapy citrus like finish. Thi8s was the beer about 6 years ago before the double and imperial Ipa’s came to town. Not bad but there’s much better out there. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 1, 2006
bottle - This beer seems pretty typical for the style. There’s the hoppy aroma, the light malt flavor and in this case perhaps a touch too thin on the palate, and the strong, bitter hops finish that hangs around for awhile. It’s alright. Indy (87) - Hopkins, Minnesota, USA - FEB 1, 2006
Absolute perfection. This is one of my top five "desert island" beers.
Sadly, we are unable to get this beer in MN any more...but it is definitely worth a trip to WS to stock up!! HopheadHans (804) - Bay Area, California, USA - JAN 29, 2006
Strong hoppy aroma, same for the flavors. A classical IPA. It pours orangish, with a medium head. The finish is that of a typical IPA, it is medium bodied. Hints of flowers and citrus are also present but thed hoppy bitterness is dominant
