Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon aroma. Tastes pretty rich, roasty, malty, dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, bourbon, quite sweet. A lovely boozy Imperial stout from Anderson Valley. Keg at BD Mighty Boosh, 19/01/18.
Black with a well presented tan head.
Nose is rich malts, chocolate cake, ripe dark fruits, bourbon tinged oak, toffee.
Taste comprises fruit cake, spice, molasses, chocolate melt, rich and satisfying bourbonic rip, dates, brown sugar melt.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close.
Solid impy stout ... masks the ABV well. Itzjerm (3175) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - JAN 18, 2018
Nose is sweet boozy bourbon. Taste is very sweet. Lots of candy body. Not much hop but balanced. Light barrel. Really spot on for a barrel aged beer. Candies chocolates sweetness. NICE!!! Nohead. The_Osprey (9723) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2018
Keg at Brewdog Shepherd's Bush as Anderson Valley Huge Arke, 13.5%. Dark brown with a red hue, foamy light brown head leaves thick lacing. Aroma is meaty vanilla bourbon, chocolate, bourbon and well that's it really. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is vanilla and bourbon, spiced chocolate, truffles, tequila and chocolate liqueur and more bourbon. Not drinking the ABV and actually pretty drinkable if a little one dimensional. Good. Taster, Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Bloody hell this is a monster. Pours dense black, tan head. Aroma is crushingly boozy and smoky. The whisk(e)y battering ram continues on the taste, but there's depth to it too with chocolate and spices. Epic stuff.

Brewdog Shepherd Bush. Keg. Opaque black brown beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft, and with a light pleasing viscosity, bit like digging yer fingers into a rubber cushion. Good superfine carbonation. Soft rich dark malts, good creamy sweetness. Touch of dark chocolate. Lovely smooth bourbon. Kinda creeps up on you, soft, smooth and then with building strength and spice until there is something akin to a straight bourbon thang going on. Smooth light spicy finish. More of a bourbon delivery mechanism than an Impy but that is a pretty good thing here.
Really dark brown, tan head. Aroma coffee, chocolate, molasses. Full body. There is some alcohol but not too out of hand. Flavor is sweet chocolate, bourbon, just a touch of toasty dry malts. On the one hand it probably a little too sweet, but on the other surprisingly drinkable for the ABV. harrisoni (19559) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2017
On tap at Brew dog Edinburgh. black beer lasting tan head. chocolate sponge aroma. bourbon vanilla too. not as bad as I feared but still more bourbon than beer. too hot on the finish. too intense and rich for me. heat. Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 23, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2017 Keg at at BD Aberdeen. It pours jet/opaque black with a small beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, big vanilla, toasted coconut, oaky, dark chocolate cake, big bourbon character, sweet, oily, fudge, toffee and icing sugar. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, toasted coconut, toasty, earth, dark chocolate, boozy warmth, spice, oaky, rocky road, bourbon and leather with warming and spicy finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Rich and filthy. Bourbon comes across very well. Really rather tasty BA impy stout. alex_leit (5316) - Minsk, BELARUS - AUG 22, 2017
