3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is very malt-forward with lots of chewiness and some caramel hints. Some Honey Nut Cheerios are also in there. Where are the hops? Transparent dark golden body with a creamy off-yellow head present. Starts with grassy hoppiness and some more chewy toastiness and some more cereal notes. Herbal, lightly spicy hop bitterness to finish. This is decent for the style, but nothing to write home about.
Old rating. Light pine and resin, some faint citrusy hops. Malty and sweet, kind of thin on the palate. Bitter finish. Simple and forgettable. JyroBip (21) - - AUG 3, 2017
I like this clear honey colored Pale Ale, but there is an odd hint of something in the taste, like metallic-hops? ... that keeps this from being a great beer

Pours clear golden, fizzy, a medium bubbly head and some lacing. Aroma is quite disappointing to start with, smell like a macro lager malts with just a minor hoppy fruitiness. Tastes of plain malts, medium bitter, lack of hoppy flavours, just some notes of citrus. Light body, well carbonated and watery, bitter finish. Mediocre ale. gripweed57 (2590) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 11, 2017
From old tasting notes. Hazy yellow gold color. Huge rocky white head. Fruity malt aroma with a hint of yeastiness. Tasty fruity malt flavor hints at lemon and grapefruit. Plenty of hops come through in middle and finish soft and complex aftertaste. Tasty. Stew41 (2040) - Phuket, THAILAND - MAY 17, 2017
Modest and subtle, Has a nice elegance but perhaps a bit too ’nice’ and just strays into blandness? I can see the grapefruit bitterness but it is mild (but suits the style). A little soft spice late. Nice but unremarkable in the extreme.

Bottle. Hazy golden, moderate head. Weak retention. Aroma: pine, mango, passion fruit, honey. Medium body. Sweetish solid malts, citrus & piny hops form the flavour. Medium bitterness. It all sounds good yet there are some hollow points while tasting.BuckeyeBoy (7930) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 12, 2017

On tap at bitter Creek boise. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is classic north west ipa pine hops with a touch of citrus and a malty sweetness. Taste is more of the pine and bread malt. MisoW (3597) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - DEC 26, 2016

Bottle. Golden with white head. Light fruity hoppy and medium malty. Aroma of citrus, pine and caramel. The flavours starts sweet but finish bitter. The body is light and the texture is thin.
