Hazy, orange colour with medium and diminishing head. Medium intesive aroma of citrus, pale ale malt with earthy and resinous background. Taste is slightly sweet with medium and lingering bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation. Low to medium body. Overall: not bad one, but nothing special.

From Aug 2007 I got this one in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks, John! This pours from 12oz bottle a hazy light gold with a huge head of foam that shrinks but stays for the entire session as a good 1/4" layer and there's plenty of lacing. The smell is dominated by citrusy hops with a small side order of malt and, oh, there's a fruity bit that I'm just picking up.Kind of reminds me of fresh plums. It's pretty darned nice. The taste is *very* tasty. The first thing I note is an abundance of citrus with a dash of grass and a more than ample malt character that gives this Ale really good balance. Good stuff! After each sip and swallow, I smack my mouth because the finish actually ends up on a sweetish note...I love how AV makes this beer so smooth and tasty and so bloody well balanced. I could put a few of these away with no problem at all. Very drinkable and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it!

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2017 A bottle from the basement of 101. Aroma: a bit cheesy, doesn't augur well. Appearance: clear amber, generous head. Palate: light-bodied and thin, soft carbonation. Hoppy, yet underwhelming finish. Taste: medium-bitter, a suggestion of black tea. Tastes beter than it smells, yet overall unimpressive.

Old rating. Light pine and resin, some faint citrusy hops. Malty and sweet, kind of thin on the palate. Bitter finish. Simple and forgettable.

I like this clear honey colored Pale Ale, but there is an odd hint of something in the taste, like metallic-hops? ... that keeps this from being a great beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear golden, fizzy, a medium bubbly head and some lacing. Aroma is quite disappointing to start with, smell like a macro lager malts with just a minor hoppy fruitiness. Tastes of plain malts, medium bitter, lack of hoppy flavours, just some notes of citrus. Light body, well carbonated and watery, bitter finish. Mediocre ale.

From old tasting notes. Hazy yellow gold color. Huge rocky white head. Fruity malt aroma with a hint of yeastiness. Tasty fruity malt flavor hints at lemon and grapefruit. Plenty of hops come through in middle and finish soft and complex aftertaste. Tasty.

Modest and subtle, Has a nice elegance but perhaps a bit too ’nice’ and just strays into blandness? I can see the grapefruit bitterness but it is mild (but suits the style). A little soft spice late. Nice but unremarkable in the extreme.

well carbonated, light-med bodied pale ale. taste is dominated by bitterly hops. dry finish. drinkable.

vinivini (2983) - Gomel, BELARUS - APR 11, 2017
Bottle. Hazy golden, moderate head. Weak retention. Aroma: pine, mango, passion fruit, honey. Medium body. Sweetish solid malts, citrus & piny hops form the flavour. Medium bitterness. It all sounds good yet there are some hollow points while tasting.

On tap at bitter Creek boise. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is classic north west ipa pine hops with a touch of citrus and a malty sweetness. Taste is more of the pine and bread malt.
