COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.

Sweet and seemingly high powered yet a tick under 7%. Massive intensity for the strength. Roast, chocolate icing, sweet stones. Presence +

Bottle, 650mL. Home. A shining very dark brown beer (nearly black) with a big beige foamy head ; good retention ; ok lacing. Roast, bourbon (+), black chocolate and coffee notes, alcohol. Medium round sweet, light warming atmosphere, light dry fresh bitter episodes. Good body, light silky texture, average carbonation, sweet bourbon roasty finish. Overall, very good !

Butelka 0,65l pite w domu.Kolor czarny, nieklarowny, piana beżowa ładnie oblepia szkło.Aromat czekoladowy, kawa i lekkie kwiaty. W smaku słodowe z burbonem lekko wyczuwalnym, kawa pojawia się w postaci mocnego aromatu i smaku. Jak na stouta trochę zbyt wodniste ale to chyba jedyna wada, w sumie dobre piwo.

Bottle bought from Costco. Pours a rich dark body with a nice tan head but doesn’t last very long. The aroma has a milk chocolate with a faint hint of bourbon, oh so slightly. Mouth feel is a bit watery for my taste. Flavor falls short for a burbon stout. I would prefer to have more bourbon, malty and chocolatey coffee complexities roaming around in my stout. The alcohol stays well hidden. This stout would be a good starting beer for someone to try a bourbon aged beer. Easy to drink but a little let down for a wild turky barrel aged stout. I would be happy to pay more if Anderson spend a little more time on the bourbon and oatmeal qualities that make a stout more complex. This is a good start although thanks.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind no visible carbonation opaque black colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty and bourbon. The mildly vinous mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild roasted aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of cocoa roasted malt bourbon dark malt and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
