COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.

Kindly shared by Jaghana. Couleur noire, trs lgre mousse. Nez de chne, malt grill, chocolat, vanille. Gout malt grill, chocolat, note caf crme et note reglisse. Fin amre grille avec note de chne, un peu trop en retrait pour le style. Mais pas mal!

Bottle 65cl, a dark beer with medium copper head. Nose is roasted malt, barrel and wood. Aroma is on roasted malt, dark coffee, medium creamy, light sour touch, vinous, some barrel notes, bit disappointed about the complexity. Correct beer, sour finish, old barrel notes, ok but not outstanding.

Good flavor from the start. Rich and delicious but not too thick. A good ABV for sipping moderately and enjoying a few. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep dark brown color. Small tan head head that lasted throughout. Aromas of bourbon and wood. Flavor was a lot of bourbon, hints of smoke, chocolate. Full bodied and creamy.

22oz bottle. Pours black with small light brown head. Aroma is roasted chocolate malt and bourbon. Chocolate flavor with plenty of roasty notes and some bourbon character. Medium-bodied with lingering roasty and bourbon finish. Just ok.

On tap at Brunzies (10/2/15). Light bourbon nose, vanilla, chocolate. Rich with mild molasses. Dark black with thin tan head. Medium-chewy body with medium carbonation. Sweet start with molasses and bourbon. Mild nutty bitter finish. Sweet smooth bourbon after.

Deep rust-brown beer under a thick brown-beige head. Bourbon jumping out of the glass with vanilla, fresh oak rosewater, pepper. More Bourbon, but lighter in the mouth; milder than the nose suggests. Very light but present acidic touch. Vinous it is, though. Not very full-bodied, however. Bit light in MF. Low to medium carbonation. Lighter then one expects from this type of beer. But none the worse for it, really.
