Complexity. Aged for three months in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.

Seabass1964's rating

Tastes of Bourbon, toasted malts, vanilla, cocoa, coffee. Good, but not nearly as robust or complex as other BA Stouts. This could probably be related to the low abv. I could easily have a few of these without the alcohol slowing me down.

Piana zbita, opadając do cienkiej warstwy, lekko zdobi szkło. Świetny aromat, czekoladowe pralinki, sporo waniliowych nutek bourbonu.

16 oz. on tap. Black in color with two wee twists of brown. Good looking but seriously, this tastes like Civil War medicine. It may be drinkable on a January day when you come in from shoveling snow, but that is it.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2017 Bought bomber at Whole Foods' Palo Alto, carried this one and a pack of Rasputins in a bag while riding a bike, but I digress. Pours a beautiful dark amber to black with a beautiful beige foamy head. Aromas of bourbon, coffee, vanilla and dark chocolate are upfront. First sip confirms aromas, it goes down smooth and as it gets warmer the low alcohol content keeps lingering in the back, more like a bourbon, less like a beer. Liked it a lot, maybe because it is a well balanced stout that does not become overpowered by any one note.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2017 Black pour. Wonderful fruity, raisin aroma. Bourbon flavor blends perfectly. Great stuff

Black with a brown head - Roasted malt aroma - Roasted malt body with wood, vanilla, and bourboun flavours - The vanilla and bourboun goes into a long lasting finish - This had a heavy bourbon flavour that made this good

Bomber poured into a tulip glass, pours black with a tan head. Nice lacing which dissipates slowly. Chocolate, bourbon, dried fruits, malt and vanilla a nice combination. I like this beer would recommend to friends!

Barrel Aged blind tasting at Andrew’s. From bottle. Fuzzy foam, dark leather brown. Fuzzy base. Bitter/baking chocolate. Leather and tobacco. Sweet, maybe lacto finish. Light pepper. Low abv, small head in nose. Nice.
