12 oz bottle Whole Foods. Between ruby and garnet; head dissipates into a nearly nonexistent ring. Aroma extremely sweet, syrupy, dark sugar, candy, and a fruit I can’t quite identify. Flavor is overwhelmingly toffee, which is pretty neat and uncommon; nearly no bitterness at all. Medium-thick body, granular lively carbonation, light sticky. I can’t really pick up the spiciness of this one--it’s pretty one-dimensionally toffee sweet--but this is a decent, unique winter beer, and I could see having this drink as a dessert.
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2018 Bitterzoet winterbier, ondanks het relatief lage alcohol percentage best goede body. Uiteindelijk toch een beetje dun. Bittere smaak verdwijnt snel. fadosolrela (13) - - JAN 5, 2018

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2018 Wow. Very good. Lovely rich almost wheat-like taste. Really very very good. Carlisle (865) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 11, 2017
Bottle. Pours ruddy amber with light beige head and substantial lacing. Nose of bread crust, caramel, allspice, and cinnamon. Bready malt with spices (allspice and clove) upfront followed by caramel and some subtle cinnamon and licorice in the finish. Lighter body than expected. BarleyMonger6 (17) - - DEC 11, 2017
Wow. It what I expected. DAMN fine beer. Gorgeous color and head almost no aroma though. Amazing maltiness.

Amber colored pour, with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, some spice with hints of vanilla, toffee. Taste is caramel, some dark fruits with notes of toffee. Some what Candy like, raisin and some spices. Not bad. Quick3Beers (1513) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 6, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2017 Pours a rich brown from a tap, off white head with some lacing. Aroma is a general sweet caramel malt with a light nondescript spice. On the mouth there are notes of milk chocolate up front and on the finish. In the middle, cinnamon? Maybe nutmeg? Different, definitely sweet, overly so for my taste. Okay beer. ttoadee (1664) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 23, 2017
Nice dark amber pour, finger of khaki foam. Nide is cherries and caramel. Middle is more of the same, with some Northern Brewer bitterness. Finish is a little sweet and warm. Evolutionary (540) - Ohio, USA - NOV 23, 2017
