Cask at Swan, Farnborough. Light floral aroma. Light chestnut. A very healthy off-white head. Sweet with some umami hints. Berries and maltyness. In fact gets progressively sweeter but not too much so. Light to medium bodied. Quite soft. Long finish, slightly astringent. Hasn’t had this for a while. Had written it off as a standard bland END but glad I was incorrect. Really nice pint. Leighton (21298) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2015
Cask handpump at the Castle Tap - Reading. Pours clear reddish-brown with a frothy light tan head. Pleasant aroma with notes of toasted brown bread, light earth, ripening berries. Light sweet flavor with more toasted bready malts, light earthy bitterness, hints of dry toffee and cocoa. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Nicely balanced on the finish, with yet more brown bread, earth, some leaves, hints of cocoa. Solid ESB. MissPxx (991) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2014
Strong toffee caramel aroma. Smells sweet and delicious. Hoppy taste with a toffee undertone. Smooth. Quite drinkable, but then I like toffee.

Very pleasant dark amber ale, low carbonation, fruit odour and taste. Also, sweetly malty.

Copper colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, mildly syrupy with some resiny and sappy notes. Flavour is syrupy, some sweet malts, wood, resiny and mild toffeeish notes.
Cask at Wetherspoons, Ruislip Manor (New brew beer festival). A deep brown ruby coloured pour with virtually no head on top. Sweet, fruity aroma. Tastes sweet, malty, fruity with some caramel in there too. Rather thin and uninspiring.
