COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special
Note: Described on the brewery website as an Autumn seasonal but seems to have only appeared in 2012.
Later information: Reappeared in Autumn 2016 so looks like it is an Autumn seasonal (of sorts) after all.

New for September 2012 is Andwell’s Sovereign, 4.3% abv ale.
A lovely red-coloured beer, this ale is brewed with British Barley & English Sovereign hops to celebrate all things British in this glorious year of national pride.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham. Reddish copper in colour with a tight cream head; aroma of red fruit with some underlying chocolate malt; dry and creamy in the mouth, the taste is rich with red fruit and malts - like a good fruit cake; and the finish is light, dry and fruity. A rather good autumnal bitter.
