This is a good chocolatey stout. A little thin on the palate. It’s a very enjoyable brew. I drank from can poured into glass. It had good color and nice head.

Bottled. Pours a dark and thin black with a beige head. Aroma: roasted malt, bitter cocoa, toasted bread notes. Taste: roasted malt, bitter cocoa, brown sugar and burnt bread flavours. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thin mouthfeel. This is a decent stout. Quite drinkable.

Bottle. This one was a nice surprise. Black beer with brown head. Aroma roasted malts some coffee as well. Taste a nice and smooth stout. Lots of roasted malts, mild.

330mL can, pours black with a reddish tinge and a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a little coffee, and a touch of roast. Flavour brings out a nice roasted malt character, some espresso, and lightly dry burnt notes. Roasted and coffee-like on the finish. Light-to-medium bodied for the style. Quite good.

Ring-pull bottle, bb 3/18. Black with a tan head that settles to a fat coat. Blackstrap licorice and molasses aroma with some weird buttered toast notes, coffee, blueberries (?). Oily, medium to low carbonation. Not all that sweet but hints of richness - nice. Mocha, ink(!), prunes, some umami notes that I can’t place (but would be lazy to call soy sauce) anise, mace. Moderate bitterness. Alcohol is pretty much hidden. Interesting, certainly one I’d have again. More than a hint of Baltic Porter about it.

This slightly unusual stout has an aroma that’s dominated by butter, plus breadcrumbs, liquorice, coffee and some citrus notes. The breadcrumbs and coffee are prominent in the tasting, plus caramel and a piney, minty hop flavour.

Draught in FCC pnomh penh. Not as bad as reviewed on here. Quite palatable stout. A little sweet and metallic and lacking depth but doable
