In early June 2008, many Iowa cities near the Cedar River were overcome with a volume of floodwater never before seen or anticipated. Waverly was devastated, as were our neighbors upstream and down. But we Iowans are a resilient bunch. The survival of a batch of home brewed beer in a house full of destroyed belongings was all the proof we needed to know that God still loves us and wants us to be happy. It also provided enough motivation to open a brewery to make the proverbial "lemonade". When life gives us water, we make beer. So lets tip one for those who endured the flood, for those who are still recovering and for those around the nation who experience disaster. May they find safety, security and higher ground to build their next house!

22oz bomber thanks to BlackIPA. Pours deep gold with a white head and good retention. Aroma is piney and floral with some tropical fruit notes. Taste is almost completely piney and resinous. Fairly bitter taste with some grassy and herbal aspects as well.

[Bottle] Pours amber with a nice white head which lingers well. Aroma is weak, but not awful--sawdust, slight zestiness, some Ivory soap, and occasional vegetal notes (green beans). Taste is not great. Very bitter, but not in a very appealing way--divorced from the rich flavors seen in IPAs I enjoy. Barley in the finish. A little thin, decent length finish. Overall, certainly not undrinkable, but I cant say I am eager to revisit it.

Aroma is citrus, malts and a cleanness to it. The flavor is citrus, grapefruit/light tropical fruit, malts and a slightly grassy, bitter finish.

22oz bomber!?!?!?! Its great to see Angry Cedar bottling in a format other than 1 liter flippy tops.

Pours a deep golden, almost a bright orange. The head is big and leaves a lot of nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is fruity & a bit sweet smelling, lightly husky, and basically inviting.

The flavor is bitter & a touch astringent. Not a great hop profile going on here but there is some nice citrus rind and mild fruity hops, they seem more employed towards bitterness as opposed to hop flavor in this particular beer. The beer has some clean maltiness, and is lightly sweet. Its not bad, its not really my thing either.

December 15, 2012 bottle shared by Bvery. Orange pour with nice head that faded quickly. Aroma was a pine cone covered in vomit, not very good. Taste was like used dish soap water. Maybe this was infected with something.

Nice bottles, big liter grolsh type. Pour is a clear goldish orange. Half inch head.Ok carbonation. Aroma is fresh fruit, melon maybe,herbal/pungent shows as it warms, clean, kinda toasty malt.It get surprisingly more pungent.Well done,or at least fresh. Taste is farily hoppy, dry, with good strong piney bittering with a balanced sweetness to match.some orange pine flavors with some mild toast .Pretty cleanly smooth.Definalty a better one, of the other styles I tried of Angry Cedar. Well exectued ipa.I dont really see much that could make it a better ipa besides being bigger. Solid. Now that I got into it further, later this is a prettty damn good ipa!

1 liter bottle courtsey of pepsiedcan. Pours a clear light amber with a white head consisting of fine bubbles. The head sticks around a while. Aromas of pine, some citrus and some soap in the nose. Taste is bitter pine cones, light malt profile. Finishes very dry. Drinkable and decent.
