Big thanks to my friends Ben and Ryan for all the good times that led to this terrific beer. Now if we can just get Joe to arm wrestle one more time.... Cheers! jtclockwork (17769) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 10, 2017
750mL bottle, with incredible artwork on the label, pours with a deep murky mohagony colored body that had virtually no head to support at all. The aroma offers up smooth rich malts, brown sugar stewed prunes, coconut, some booze and then some dates. That works. The taste delivers rich smooth nectar sweet malts and molasses blended seamlessly into a modest soft layer of booze and coconut. Wow to midway it picks up prunes, stewed dates and some faint oak barrel character. I love me some barleywine. Hell yeah!! Ben, you're a genius.
Bottle - pours dark brown white head - nose and taste of sweet molasses, bourbon, caramelized brown sugar and vanilla - full bodied bytemesis (9622) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - AUG 9, 2017
Bottle thanks to HOMER! Backlog. Pours clear mahogany, small beige head, dissipates quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is bourbon, cherries, prunes, oak, toffee. Flavor is fully sweet and light bitter. Full body, very much a sipper. Can’t read some of my damn notes so some details are lost here. hackobock (4073) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 1, 2017

Bottle from Angry Chair Release: Pours a hazy/murky brown-orange with a white head. Nose is caramel, toffee, slight bitterness, huge oaky vanilla, bourbon, and mild barleywine fruit. Flavor is similar with caramel, toffee, oak, vanilla, bourbon, slight booze, and a bit more sweetness. Definitely a sipper, definitely memorable, and definitely not to be trifled with. Share with friends and keep from nonbelievers. This one is on my top ten memorable beers, as is its namesake. ebone1988 (2291) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - JAN 28, 2017
At the Barleywine event. Aroma is caramel, toffee, dark fruit, booze, barrel. Appearance is dark brown, light brown head, too dark to see through. Taste is fucking awesome. Caramel, toffee, dark fruit, booze, barrel, fucking smooth. Mouthfeel is heavy body, light carbonation, wonderful caramel barrel aftertaste.
