2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Well, America has finally made something as lightstruck as every other green bottle using country. It does have a decent hop kick, but the strange off flavorswere not impressive. I had to try this because of the hype.....which isn’t as deserved as it could have been. A-B has put out a couple drinkable beers and this is hoppy enough for me to handle. I still don’t understand the green bottle thing? Maybe in a brown bottle it would be a bit more pleasant.
Bottle, in US. Backlog entry. Entering my historic scores for US beers whilst visiting New York. No tasting notes kept, just rating. wlajwl (7209) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 24, 2017
A little bit more malts and hops than their regular offerings; otherwise it was still a fairly generic pale lager at inflated prices. Drinkable but the price is telling why its no longer made. Headbanger (4022) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2014
12oz bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a clear golden with a decent head. Aroma of grains, hops, and hay. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew is not bad as I was expecting worse coming from a green bottle. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2011
Reviewed from notes.
Pours a clear golden with a thin white head and little lacing. Nose brings forth some grain and a bit of some Czech/German hops. Taste is about the same, with a bit of grain but mostly just faint hops and some carbonation. Light feel with a good amount of carbonation to carry what little flavor there is. Drinks okay, but probably has a bit too much carbonation and not much real flavor.

At least they included the whole world in naming this beer instead of just naming America. This has a pretty smooth flavor with a skunky aftertaste. Luckily I didn’t have to pay for my encouter with this watered down "select" beer

Seemed like a bud gone through the "green" phase turning an mediocre pale lager into a skunked one. Not so extraordinary. halfonit (1412) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 5, 2009
I’ll keep this one nice and short. It basically tastes like a watered down Heineken. Maybe even a little more skunked tasting. jimmack34 (647) - Lancaster, Ohio, USA - MAR 4, 2009
Had this one 3 years ago, and I didnt write this one down, so Im going a little off memory. Tasted just a liitle bit better than straw tea, but thats what most pale lagers taste like. Im not sure what makes this the world select....Oh, its the "fancier" bottle. Not saying it was terrible, just not "select". (Who selected it?) WOW, this really is world class, world class crap. Poured a light yellow color with a white head. Aroma was pretty minimal, bready and grass. Flavor was really watery, grassy and a slight bitter corn flavor as well.
