Had these in my pre-ratebeer days, and had forgotten all about them until I read an article on the zythophile blog today about marketing beer to women. I didn’t even know that was the point of these beers. They were all sweet, and the clear one was the best of a pretty poor bunch. madmitch76 (24980) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2013

Bright clear amber beer with a pink hue! Small pink head! Light dry palate, slightly soft. Syrupy sweetness, red berry fruits - particularly cherry. Not much rose! Dry finish. A bit rubbish really!
Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, grapefruit-pink with a small, white foam head. Nose of watermelon, sugary berries. Medium sweet flavor with melon, peach, light cherry pits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, some light fruit pit bitterness, watermelon, light citrus, grapefruit. It’s not actually as bad as I had hoped it would be. Unusually pink in colour for a lager, but with a fairly fruity strawberry nose. Some of this fruit is in the taste behind a general sweetness. ralphdot (1094) - Billingham, Durham, ENGLAND - OCT 24, 2012
4.0% pink colour with a thin head, strawberry aroma, very sweet strawberry taste, one for the ladies.

My ’Dodgy Lager tasting evening’ of 28 Sept 2012 took a sinister turn when my Son-in-Law turned up and wanted to play: luckily I had two 275cl bottles of this in the fridge and so my evening became a ’random beer tasting evening’ as we devoured a few of my stash in the name of rating/reviewing.
This is a sweet alcopop sort of beverage and may well be ideal for youngsters and sweet toothed ladies but otherwise give it a miss (or to a miss).
Blush red in colour with a stawberry nose and flavour, Fruli came to mind: a cheap version maybe but simular in most details.
Not my cup of tea and my scores are kind. jamesie1857 (2186) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2012
275ml bottle - firstly it was cheap, very cheap, and curiosity got the better of me. It pours a pink... well it’s pink. It smells pink too. Strawberries? Bubblegum? Sweet! It tastes like that pink party wine I used to suffer as a student, Lambrusco? I can feel it rotting my teeth. Curiosity satisfied, I hope it hasn’t spoiled my next beer! Can it be?? A tick in The Harvester. Fizzing, brief head on..yep, a rosé body. Strawberry chew aroma, tupperware. No hideous sweetener notes; non-commital red fruit, Nana V’s biscuit tin c1987 finish- jam ring with cream filling. Shameless, insubstantial pink ladybeer. Had much worse. tommann (3801) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
275ml bottle. Pours a light yellow pink with a medium head. Aroma is strawberry yoghurt and some skunk. Taste has some strawberry to start with strong corn on the finish. Watery. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 31, 2012
[330ml bottle courtesy of Benjii] Clear pink, thin white lacing. Perfumed cherry on the nose, slight metallic edge. It tastes exactly like juice - sweet grape and apple. Essentially it’s like an alcoholic Schloer - you can drink it without thinking about it. Although it ’tastes nice’ - which it does - it’s extremely watery and has no alcohol or hop flavours in any way. Treat it as grape juice
