500ml brown bottle. Dark golden-amber in colour, some haze. Creamy tan head with a rocky top and spotty lace. Nose has caramel malt, hint of chocolate malt, light yeast. Taste is malty up front with earth, light roast, choclate and grain, a very pleasant grassy hop flavour shows up late. Bitterness is mild but provides a nice balance. Aftertaste is grassy with some grain, light yeast. Medium body, pretty soft carbonation. Pleasantly surprised with this. One of the better Ankerbrau offerings I’ve encountered. Far superior to their Reiser Landbier. This bottle was $3.25, pretty good value here, I would drink this again.

Bottle, 500ml. A clear chestnut beer with a small white foamy head and some gas. Aroma is of wood, chestnut, dried fruits and roasted malt. Taste is bittersweet with a roasted malt and wood character. Some carbonation and faint astringency. Somewhat watery; I could easily see myself drinking several liters of this beer in Germany.

Draft. Cloudy, brown, average foam. Aroma and taste: malts, yeast, hops and caramel.

vinivini (3146) - Gomel, BELARUS - JUL 18, 2015
Cloudy amber. Moderate head. Nice lacing. Aroma of dark malts, yeast. Light to medium body. Yeasty taste with medium sourness. There must be a fault of the keg.

Vielen Dank an kevnic2008! Klares dunkel bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit einer ordentlichen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell und etwas hopfig. Geschmack nussig, Karamell, gering hopfig, minimal Säure, ok!

Bottle, 500ml. Clear copper/chesnut with a creamy, lacey offwhite head. Spicy, roasted aroma with hints of dried fruits, clay, yeast. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Slightly dry and astringent. Sweet with moderate bitterness. Deep roasted character with an earthy finish. Highly drinkable and very pleasant.

Bottle sample. Clear brownish-amber with small off-white head. Sweetish aroma of prune and carob, some spiciness and graininess. Sweet grainy flavor, slightly salty, notes of dark fruits and carob with hint of soy sauce. Light carbonation, medium-bodied.
