Taste is medium sweet malt, some caramel, smokey doughy, toast and some roasted malt, some fruity notes, medium bitterness, dryish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. JorisPPattyn (10072) - BELGIUM - MAR 13, 2017
Very good beige head, stable and leaving lace over faintly veiled dark mahogany beer. Smoked nose & -malts, smoked ham, light roast, roasted nuts, fire jacket potato or ashes-roasted chestnuts, ureum. Very dry, woody, nearly tart roasted malt flavour with relatively mild smoked, phenolic and roasted touches. Smooth, velvety feel, despite good carbonation; feels medium bodied; Very good, balanced smoked beer! Thanks, Jezza!

ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2017
Keg @ Alexandra Beer House, Halifax. Dark brown with a very thin head. Has a light and appealing smokiness, bacon is evident and there’s a crispness to it too. It’s all very easy-drinking for its strength.

john44 (3392) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2017

Bottle @cgarvieuk. April Not So Fools Tasting 2014 [Rating Backlog April 2014] Pours brown, murky, tan head. Nose is smoke and chocolate. Taste is the same but with dark chocolate and a slight funk (farmyard) badboy happening.
