Very good beige head, stable and leaving lace over faintly veiled dark mahogany beer. Smoked nose & -malts, smoked ham, light roast, roasted nuts, fire jacket potato or ashes-roasted chestnuts, ureum. Very dry, woody, nearly tart roasted malt flavour with relatively mild smoked, phenolic and roasted touches. Smooth, velvety feel, despite good carbonation; feels medium bodied; Very good, balanced smoked beer! Thanks, Jezza! ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2017
Keg @ Alexandra Beer House, Halifax. Dark brown with a very thin head. Has a light and appealing smokiness, bacon is evident and there’s a crispness to it too. It’s all very easy-drinking for its strength. john44 (3392) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2017
