COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Josh's translation of the Spanish description: Ale (top-fermentation) has many followers at the Brewpub Antares, in Mar del Plata. A flashy ruby colour, fruity taste and malt accent are typical of beers in this style. And this is as well – because in Scotland – the place where Scotch Ale was born – the climate is good for barley, but not so friendly for hops. Antares Scotch is a beer with a full body. The alcohol level of 6%abv is virtually unnoticeable. It is recommended that Scotch ales should be served at 10C. This is ideal for drinking alone, or with beef, pork or pizza.

Nurmis (810) - Oulu, FINLAND - MAY 24, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours amber with quickly diminishing head. Malt mostly. The scotch like aroma is somehow "sweeter" than usual in scotch ales. Nothing wrong with it.

0.5l bottle, a gift from a work colleague. Thanks Rune! This one pours a mild cloudy looking almost amber golden colored body with a sound making medium sized off-white softly lacing head. It smells mild caramel sweet. Tones of fruita little lager yeast. There’s also a bready almost burnt toast thing going on. Smells absolutely decent. It has a nice mild oily texture in the mouth and it’s just below average on the carbonation. Tastes good also. Again, soft sweet caramel with bready tones. The lager-ting sticks in the taste as well, but I kinda like it. Hints of hops on the burp. All in all a surprisingly well tasting Scotch ale from Argentina. 18.02.2017

jbruner (5289) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - FEB 2, 2016
Pours a clear golden brown from the bottle with thin ring of tan head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of malty sweetness and a hint of fruity earth. Taste follows, mellow and easy, a hint of oxidation. Not that exciting, but not horrible.
