COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You may have taken a draw of this Belgian brew in the past, during your afternoon "client relations" meetings at Brasserie Beck. The double blonde was developed with the help of some intense Belgian brewers (as if there’s any other kind) known as the Brouwerij De Musketiers, and it actually helped Thor Cheston, Beck’s beer director, get knighted by the beer guild in Brussels.

And now, for the first time, they’re bottling it. It comes in a 750ml version—complete with corks and wire cages—and, at this very minute, it’s on a ship approaching our shores, where it’s due to arrive any day (icebergs notwithstanding) for your closer-to-home client relations. When it gets here, expect something citrusy and yeasty, but a little less potent than your typical Belgian

Clear light to medium golden color with a cream colored head. Dry hay, light floral hops, grainy cereal/bready notes. Goes in many different directions at once, has a Czech Pils or Helles flavor, but much more yeasty, a bit sweet up front with a lingering bitterness. Nice mouthfeel, crisp yet creamy. Doesn't taste like what I'd considered a typical Belgian Ale, lighter, crisper, hoppier. Leaves nice lacing rings. There's no visible date on the bottle but has the ABV as 6.8%

Robe dorée, fine mousse. Nez entre céréales, fruits et notes maltées. Bouche souple et fruitée à défaut d’être longue et complexe.. une bière basique

33 cl bottle poured in to a Tulip. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with fruits, yeasts, grasses and a boozy note. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes slightly drying with yeasts and a boozy bite. A little bit disappointed - The Musketeers usually makes great beers.

Weak aroma of bread. Gentle flavored beer with breadish notes, some light spices (cloves, pepper), low bitterness. Plesant but does not set an example

Idiosynkrasie (7837) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2017
330ml bottle. Minimally milky, orangey, deep golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Malty aroma with a bready touch and hints of almond, citrusy fruity, hoppy overtones, fruity middle layer with an apricot touch, an ammonia whiff. Taste is minimally bready malty, sweet-ish fruity, hints of peach and apricot, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and citrusy hoppy counterweight, undertones of alcohol and almond. Very nice composition, sadly not free of off-flavours.

Sweet, malty, caramel, pretty bitter. Not very interesting, but not bad either.

White frothy head left flotsam on a hazy orange coloured, still body. Yeast, orange & floral aroma. Medium bodied. Tingly on the tongue, smooth down the back. Feels soft. Yeast, sweet citrus, orange, lemon, hints of malt & a long peppery finish. Very good Blond
