COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You may have taken a draw of this Belgian brew in the past, during your afternoon "client relations" meetings at Brasserie Beck. The double blonde was developed with the help of some intense Belgian brewers (as if there’s any other kind) known as the Brouwerij De Musketiers, and it actually helped Thor Cheston, Beck’s beer director, get knighted by the beer guild in Brussels.

And now, for the first time, they’re bottling it. It comes in a 750ml version—complete with corks and wire cages—and, at this very minute, it’s on a ship approaching our shores, where it’s due to arrive any day (icebergs notwithstanding) for your closer-to-home client relations. When it gets here, expect something citrusy and yeasty, but a little less potent than your typical Belgian

Not too memorable though I found it a bit too sweet and just a little funky. Being smooth was its only good quality.

White frothy head left flotsam on a hazy orange coloured, still body. Yeast, orange & floral aroma. Medium bodied. Tingly on the tongue, smooth down the back. Feels soft. Yeast, sweet citrus, orange, lemon, hints of malt & a long peppery finish. Very good Blond

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden, fluffy white head. Nose is zest, caramel, light peppery spices, sweet malts. Tastes similar with bitter hoppy finish.

Antigoon doesn’t really pack any surprises, but it’s a textbook example of a Belgian Ale. It has a gold coloring and a fruity, malty aroma. It has an easygoing taste with subtle spices, subtle citrus, and yeast. The feel is wonderfully soft with medium carbonation. It’s not exactly one-of-a-kind, but it’s rather classy.

Clear yellow, white lacing foam head. Barley aroma and taste. Would say typical Belgian beer taste. OK. (Nijmegen 201704)

Double blond purchased at local supermarket ’Plus’ in Mijnsherenland . A blond which doesn’t live up to expectations. Not much in it other then realy bland sweet, some citrus far, far away and then hoppy in then finish. Expected much more from a blond. Not to be repeated.

Bottle from mr_h. Hazy yellow amber, big head. Spicy toffee aroma. Spicy caramel vanilla flavour. Yeasty vanilla afteraste. This is a different and very good Belgian ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with white head. Yeasty, cracker, cardboard aromas. Yeasty, malty, spicy, bread, cardboard flavors. I thought this bottle was $1.99, but it ended up being $7.99. Big waste of money, this one is old and not great.

TrefwoordPunk (1172) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 25, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a medium white head and an aroma of yeast, dust, white grapes, orange apricot, flowers. The taste is medium to heavy sweet with a nice hoppy bitterness in the finish. Pretty nice.

2.8
CloakedDagger (2454) - - FEB 2, 2017
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy yellow with a dense, white head. Very fresh, fruity nose, only a discreet yeastiness. Medium-bodied, getting more yeasty and phenollic in the flavor - slightly fusty even - before ending up in a rather solid bitterness. 020217
