COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You may have taken a draw of this Belgian brew in the past, during your afternoon "client relations" meetings at Brasserie Beck. The double blonde was developed with the help of some intense Belgian brewers (as if theres any other kind) known as the Brouwerij De Musketiers, and it actually helped Thor Cheston, Becks beer director, get knighted by the beer guild in Brussels.

And now, for the first time, theyre bottling it. It comes in a 750ml versioncomplete with corks and wire cagesand, at this very minute, its on a ship approaching our shores, where its due to arrive any day (icebergs notwithstanding) for your closer-to-home client relations. When it gets here, expect something citrusy and yeasty, but a little less potent than your typical Belgian

Bottle. Pours a hazy light amber color with an extremely large, very dense, white head. Lacing is very strong. Aromas of bananas, caramel, bread, and hay dominate. Palate is very smooth and creamy with a nice crisp finish. Flavors of banana and hay dominate again, but then it has a nice bitter aftertaste. This is an amazing beer!

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden, fluffy white head. Nose is zest, caramel, light peppery spices, sweet malts. Tastes similar with bitter hoppy finish.

Antigoon doesnt really pack any surprises, but its a textbook example of a Belgian Ale. It has a gold coloring and a fruity, malty aroma. It has an easygoing taste with subtle spices, subtle citrus, and yeast. The feel is wonderfully soft with medium carbonation. Its not exactly one-of-a-kind, but its rather classy.

Clear yellow, white lacing foam head. Barley aroma and taste. Would say typical Belgian beer taste. OK. (Nijmegen 201704)

Double blond purchased at local supermarket Plus in Mijnsherenland . A blond which doesnt live up to expectations. Not much in it other then realy bland sweet, some citrus far, far away and then hoppy in then finish. Expected much more from a blond. Not to be repeated.

Bottle. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with white head. Yeasty, cracker, cardboard aromas. Yeasty, malty, spicy, bread, cardboard flavors. I thought this bottle was $1.99, but it ended up being $7.99. Big waste of money, this one is old and not great.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a medium white head and an aroma of yeast, dust, white grapes, orange apricot, flowers. The taste is medium to heavy sweet with a nice hoppy bitterness in the finish. Pretty nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy yellow with a dense, white head. Very fresh, fruity nose, only a discreet yeastiness. Medium-bodied, getting more yeasty and phenollic in the flavor - slightly fusty even - before ending up in a rather solid bitterness. 020217

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Coop Culemborg. Slightly hazy golden with a big white head. Spicy yeasty aroma. Medium bitter with a creamy undertone. Classic Belgian blonde with a bit more hops than usual. Tasty stuff.
