This beer has a dark red body - hue apperance and a coarse white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had no carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is karamelsweet. thebeertourist (5188) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 31, 2006
On tap at the brewpub. Red copper colour with a solid offwhite head. Good fruity aroma, hints of bananas and berries. Fruity flavours, slightly sweet with caramel, drier towards the finish. Warming alcohol. A nice Christmas beer. oberabcbbsok (693) - Hoboken, BELGIUM - APR 2, 2008
Tasted as well from draft as from bottle. A nice christmas beer that is so much better on draft as from bottle SHIG (4965) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - DEC 17, 2007
Bottle Kerstbierfestival 2007: Poured a caramel amber color with white head. Aroma is sweet toffee, fruit, and roasted malt. The taste is sweet caramel/toffee with nice roasted maltness. MiP (16055) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2004
Draught. Spicy, malty, yeasty aroma. Colour is dark red, big stable white head. Very smooth beer. Flavour is very malty and quite sweet with some burnt caramel in the aftertaste. Very well-balanced, harmonic beer.

Yesterday from bottle @ the brew pub. Dark amber color, with dark white small head. Medium body. Aroma roasted malts, yeast, hops. Taste sweet, roasted malts, strong alcoholic touch bit sticky.
Not bad. sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 18, 2007

2007, Essen) Hazy darkish amber with a smallish head. Typical, stuffy Pakhuis house aroma with roasty malt and some alcohol. Licoricey-malty, toffeeish flavor beats the aroma, but doesn’t really impress. Some gingerbread, and warming alcohol. Medium body, smooth and low-carbonated. Average.

2007. Ruby colour, mediumsized white creamy head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, some yeast and hops. Flavour is spices, sweet fruits and some yeast. Pleasantly brewed beer from Pakhuis.
Christmas ale from ’t Pakhuis, in very limited edition but yearly available there around Christmas. Off-white head on a bronze, cloudy beer; aroma caramel-malty, peach, strawberry, flowery hops accompanied by lightly smoky and meaty impressions. Tastes fruity and malt sweetish (caramel), in the finish some toasted bitterness. Quite okay but I’ve had many better Belgian Christmas beers. JorisPPattyn (10118) - BELGIUM - DEC 12, 2004
Amber with very ruby-red highlights; even the head is pinkish coloured, not stable. Chocolate, some malt - nothing else to smell. Sourish notes above a lot of malt, some fruity cherry notes. Strange. Medium bodied, but very light, watery texture. Ends much sweeter in the aftertaste. It grows on you - but seen where it had to come from...
