Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks tomer. Clear amber. Aroma of honey, caramel, some fruity notes and a floral spicy hint. Sweet flavor with honey, light acidic notes, a light floral note and a light alcohol burn in the finish. Pretty syrupy, but smooth. A good mead.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. Deep amber coloured pour with a small fleeting head,. Aroma is earthy honey, pollen, bark, woody, hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of sweet juicy nutty, caramel, earthy honey and caramel. Palate is full on sweet, sticky, viscous, sticky. Some sweet apple. Toffee, apple crumble. Bottle shared at Leighton’s. Dark orange, clear, still, no head. Aroma is wafer biscuits, caramel, honey and sugar syrup. Body is medium, smooth, low (or maybe no) carbonation. Big sweet flavor with lots of oily honey, caramel, bread, berries. Full bodied, oily and chewy. Warming finish, lots of gooey honey, apples, light caramel, honeysuckle flowers. Great stuff overall. The taste is smooth, rich, oily, honeyed action, apple pie, warming alcohol and a touch of spice. Medium+ body and oily carbonation. Not bad at all.
