It has very rich specific fragrance due to the addition of raspberries and wild rose to nectar honey.

1 litre of Półtorak style mead contains 720 g of natural honey. By comparison, the Dwojniak style of mead contains 610g/L of honey; the Trojniak contains 420g/L and the Czworniak contains 320g/L.

Półtorak mead matures for several years to achieve full clarity. In time its rich aroma hides a high content of alcohol (16%) and acidity forming the finest liquor there is.

From bottle, bought in Poland at the airport. Aroma had definitely honey, but also plum (reminds of Chinese plum wine). Body is thick, since its 16 degrees. Taste is strongly sweet and honey again. I really like this.

Pours still deep amber. Rich and sweet. Starts with honey, then dark dried fruits, sherry, light candied fruit. Has a light acidic touch after the initial sweetness. Notes of tobacco, syrup and vanilla too. Warming alcohol. Good.

Bottle shared at THT. Clear amber brown with no head. Aroma of big floral honey, treacle and brown sugar. Flavour is very heavy sugary sweet. Above medium bodied with flat carbonation. Way too sugary sweet. [26-08-2016]

[Butelka] Wygląd: Miodowe, lekko zamglone. Aromat: Owoce, miód i alkohol. Smak: Słodkość, alkohol, lekko piecze w przełyk. Podsumowanie: To jest to, czego szukam w miodzie - słodycz, średnie ciało, przyjemny aromat.

King_Alex_II (1228) - SWITZERLAND - SEP 7, 2016
Clear ruby color without foam. Sugar and honey in the nose with some alcohol. The taste is best described as thick, honey, thick, sweet, thick, quite alcoholic, thick and viscous. The aftertaste is sweet alcoholic sugary and the whole beverage is a bit too much.

anstei (2247) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - AUG 27, 2016
Bottle. Put forest honey. Throughout. Aroma, taste, palate. Honey, honey, honey. Boozy and sweet and heavy and intense, but who cares, because: This shit? It works. Period. (Forest and pine needle and resin aroma too, but it doesn’t really matter, believe me.)

SinH4 (4794) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 27, 2016
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2016 Bottle. Slightly cloudy dark reddish color with no head. Aroma is intense flowery honey, sweet fruit liqueur, booze. Taste is sweet honey, flowery, one of the most sweet drinks I?ve ever had, but it?s so luscious. No carbonation, very viscous mouthfeel. A beauty.

sjogro (4137) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 26, 2016
Sampled at THT August. Clear reddish amber. Big sweet honey, bit metallic, but damn this sweetness. Biggest sweetest I might have ever tasted. Rooibos. Light bitter. Full body, big sugary body. Mega sweet but lovely vanilla soft finish.

Maakun (5558) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 26, 2016
Bottle at THT. Clear amber with no head. Massive horse sweat, honey, brandy, soap, lots of oxidized notes. Very very sweet with weird horse bitterness. Full bodied and no carbonation.

jmgreenuk (9452) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - AUG 26, 2016
Bottle at the August THT, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium brown with no life. The aroma is super sweet malt, alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet with a rich sweet oily fruity alcohol palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation.
