It has very rich specific fragrance due to the addition of raspberries and wild rose to nectar honey.

1 litre of Półtorak style mead contains 720 g of natural honey. By comparison, the Dwojniak style of mead contains 610g/L of honey; the Trojniak contains 420g/L and the Czworniak contains 320g/L.

Półtorak mead matures for several years to achieve full clarity. In time its rich aroma hides a high content of alcohol (16%) and acidity forming the finest liquor there is.

Amber colour with no head. Fruity aroma that reminds me of sherry. Aslo a bit sour. Sweet and fruity flavour. Oily texture. Drinkable in small kvanta.
[Small bottle from Frykas Sklep Spozywczy in Old City Warszawa, Poland]

Højbjerg Tasting. Courtesy of Saxo. LIght Brown. Aroma of honey and flowers. Sherry notes and alcoholic notes. Heavy sweet and light acidity.

Czerwonawa barwa.

Bottle from trade with Jashiu, many thanks for introducing me to this fine mead! Awesome stuff, sweet and syruppy and really full of flavour with honey, berries and red fruit and light herbal notes. Lovely!

ironcontra (450) - ATL, Georgia, USA - AUG 11, 2017
Yeah, you damn right this is sickeningly sweet, but at the same time somehow manages to have a fairly complex flavor, apples, candy, herbs... A good syrupy thing in smaller quantities :)

Bottle @Craigs (The Budget week tasting, rating backlog). Pours redish brown, no head. Nose is big and boozy, raisins and sultanas, wood, raspberries, some oxidisation but i don’t think it hurts. Taste is a sweet attack on the senses, its uber sweet. There is a slight sherry note.

Like pigwowa in beer form. Quite sweet and with a thick bod, as expected, with bitter berries and cherries against a honey background. Delicious cough syrup, essentially. Though meads aren’t usually my thing, I can appreciate it’s good for what it is - absolutely no artificial taste as you can risk with fruitier drinks.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a clear amber with no head. The aroma is honey, wood, booze. Medium body, jammy, honey, vanilla, oak, boozy finish, good.

Small bottle. Aroma of molasses, sweet cherry, candied pear, flowers, hint of raspberries. Taste is very sweet, sticky and thick texture, huge body. Flavor of sweet cherries, pears, flowers, molasses, candies, apple pie, hint of herbs. Aftertaste is long and sweet, honey flavor. Very nice.
