Bottle. Thanks to Sk8viking. Dark red color with a white none head. Aroma is heavy honey, fruit, berries, raisins, spices and alcohol (like a sherry or port). Taste is heavy sweet with a long duration. Body is full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. Lovely nice and complex. yespr (48876) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 30, 2010 Sample from 50 cL bottle. Pours deep orange. Aroma is honey, spicy, no real alcohol feel. Alcohol comes up once a sip is taken, it has a strong alcohol odour which goes into the eyes. Flavour is sweet honey, raisins with a strong spice note, goes into a apple sourness and ends sugary sweet. Ungstrup (38867) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 31, 2010
Bottled. A deep red-brown mead. The aroma has strong notes of honey and pollen. The flavor is very sweet - though not cloying with strong notes of honey, spices, and alcohol, leading to a sweet, but dry and spicy finish. joergen (29598) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 27, 2006

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2012 Bottled at RBESG ’07. Dark brown. Aroma of honey and brown sugar. Sweet and very mature, fruity and balsamic. Honey wrapped in cotton, so soft. Something special indeed! Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2006
(Bottle) Beautiful warm, reddish amber with no head whatsoever. Sweet, alcoholic nose of caramel and alcohol. Extremely full-bodied and extremely complex flavour pattern with loads of honey and fruit acents. But this is EXTREMELY sweet - actually I don’t believe I’ve ever had anything this sweet in my life. I love its complexity but am having trouble with its sugary sweetness. 260806 Leighton (22773) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2015
Bottle at home in London - but just a little bit! Picked up at Julio’s. Pours clear, rich amber with no head. The nose holds a lot of rich honey, lightly crystallised, with subtle citric tones underscored flowers and dried berries. Big sweet flavor with thick, viscous honey, more flowers, some caramel, clover, raspberry, cherry, bread. Full bodied, thick and chewy, soft and oily. Warming on the finish with more rich, decadent and lightly toasted honey, some mellow alcohol, berries, clover. As you swirl it around your mouth it feels more and more like real honey. There’s lingering warmth and sticky, luxurious honey character. Wonderful stuff.
