Draft at the brewery, served in a plastic cup. Sweeter than hoppy, but quite enjoyable. I had a pretty hard time distinguishing between the Glorious Dead ESB and Hoppacolypse ... the Dead is perhaps a shade redder than the oranger DIPA, but the flavor and characteristics are pretty subtle. Keg @ WoB, C’ville. Sort of hazy amber color with a creamy head. Points off for appearance. Nose is very sweet. Caramel apple and toffee. Taste is pretty strongly hopped for what it’s supposed to be. Tree sap and leafy green bitterness. Caramel malt. Pain au chocolate. Medium body, soft carbonation. Meh. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - SEP 1, 2014
Serving: Draft at MacDowell Brew Kitchen. Brown pour. Nutty, malty nose. Slight pine resin bitterness in this ESB with a well-balanced malt sweetness. Slight toasted nut and caramel note flavors as well. Medium bodied. Decent.

Copper nose, with a little honey. Clear copper, medium yellow head, minimal lacing. Less metallic on the palate, dark honey and dried leaves are detected. A tad fizzy, especially for the style.
