From the bottle poured a very dark brew with a slight, tan head. Aroma of raspberries, chocolate, and malt. Tart, fruity, and malty flavors. I likey!

Pours up dark brown with a nice tan head. Plenty of carbonation. Aroma is dark chocolate, slight old cheap coffee, and rusty water. Taste is intense bitter dark cocoa, followed by vinegar, and something like easter egg dye. Maybe I had a bad bottle, but this was not good at all. An expensive Drain pour.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’ place. 2016 bottle. Black with a quickly dissolving tan head. A little olives, rust, roastiness and then chocolate. Olives, bitter, roastiness, some cocoa in the mouth. Rather light-bodied, chocolate finish.

Light on the aroma of roasted malt and sweetness. Very light on the mouthfeel and watery. Nice balance of roasted flavor and an aftertaste of bitter chocolate. Not among my favorites.
