Draft pint. Here is a a golden brew with some fizz. Zest of lemon nose transcends to a medium, fully drinkable elixir. Solidly a B beer, light on the palate with mild bitterness and light peppery flavor over basic cereal grains. djd07 (15334) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 3, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and floral. Medium body, grass, spice, light finish, decent. AndyW68 (1589) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Hazy gold pour. Aroma is musty sheets. Taste follows nose. A bit more musty though. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 24, 2015
On tap @ Apocalypse Brew Works. Mostly clear golden beer with some white foam. Definitely pretty peppery. Slight pear and apple ester qualities, some cracker, and biscuit. A little on the sweet side with a decent enough fresh pepper spiciness to it. Slight bitterness to the taste as well. Pepper does become a bit much for me after the first few sips. While it’s not bad, it’s not a beer I’d like to drink a whole lot of. bubblehouse (1570) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 19, 2015
Not one of my favorites. Pretty lacking in taste other than the pepper. I appreciate the creativity though.

Draft sampler pours hazy amber with a off white head. Aroma of malts, black pepper and toast. Taste is sweet malts and a nice black pepper taste. jcr (2726) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUL 6, 2014
Draft. Golden body with a white head. Nose is dominated by pepper with notes of toasted grain, floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter with the promised blast of pepper. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The strong pepper masks other flavors. Interesting, but couldn’t finish a whole pint. rondphoto (4489) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 26, 2014
on tap @ Apocalypse / Louisville --- Clear light dirty gold, rim head, dots of lace. Taste is inoffensive light malt that becomes a little sweeter in the palate. Typical light bitter enters, followed by an unexpected pepper shot in the back of the mouth. "Lingers" doesn’t cover the length of the finish. A daring brew, and interesting in a 4 ounce sample, but a pint of this would be too much for me. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 23, 2014
Sampled at the brewery. Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of light citrusy and floral hops, light peppers, pale and caramel malts, and some dough. Flavor the same with the peppers adding on the finish. Average texture. Not a bad beer. phaleslu (10547) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 11, 2014
Draft taster at the brewery. Pours a clear, bright gold with a small white head. Aroma of black pepper, pale malts, lemon, and apple. Flavor of black pepper, apple, and a vinegar-based barbecue sauce. Yeah, that’s unusual but somehow not ruinous. Light-bodied, with a spicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. They promised peppercorns, and they delivered. Drinks like a light, fruity-leaning pale ale that just got a sprinkling from a pepper grinder. Would go well with a pulled pork sandwich.
