It was drinkable but nothing really stood out about it to make it memorable. Grind brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 24, 2015
On tap @ Apocalypse Brew Works. Muddy chestnut color with some off-white foam. Seems to have a decent enough citrus aroma to it with some grapefruit and lemon. But it’s kind of grassy and peppery, which doesn’t seem to work. Lots of cocoa, toasted grains, and some nuts. Light sweetness of caramel malt, too. Sort of a mix of hop and grain derived bitterness, and a mild papery astringency. Clever name, but not a huge fan of the beer. theisti (4237) - Kansas, USA - SEP 11, 2014
Pint draft at The Crescent Hill Craft House in Louisville, Kentucky. The pour is a hazy brown copper with nice lighter tan head. The aroma is toasted nutty malt, a nice citrus floral hop character and a faint soapiness. The taste is the component parts of the nose, in nice balance. The nutty toast malt integrates well with the floral hop character. The soap is not present in the taste. The palate is medium bodied, soft, almost creamy carbonation and a clean nutty finish. Tasty beer. NeoHippie2 (1074) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 27, 2014
Brown pour with a white head. Aromas of biscuit and nutty malts with just a touch of hops. Flavor is lots of caramel malts with nut and biscuit undertones. Very drinkable. Respectable brew. jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 23, 2014
Sampled at the brewery. Pours brown with an off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, caramel and nutty and lightly toasty malts, and hints of dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not a bad beer.

Draft taster at the brewery. Pours a brown-amber color with a small beige head. Notes of earthy, grassy hops, tobacco, chocolate, and tea. Simple, but so nice and balanced. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and an earthy mouthfeel. My favorite offering from my first visit here. jwtinn01 (34) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 12, 2014
If I closed my eyes I would belive this is a straight IPA. Hoppy and brown, named correctly. Tmoney99 (15116) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Draft sample at APW. Poured a clear dark brown color with an aqverage creamy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth slick texture and soft carbonation. Solid balanced toasted oats sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - SEP 29, 2013
Draft @ brewery. Nutty roasty malt aroma. Clear chestnut with a small white head. Roasty caramel malt flavor with a non-descript hoppy finish. Light body, soft carbonation. AndyW68 (1641) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 13, 2013
Descent brown pour with short lived white head. Aroma is sweet smoke. Taste is watery but burnt. Ok.
