Danke an Auxburg1986 fürs teilen!

Test vom 28.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,6,7,5,7,6 - 6,25

Bottle. Medium Amber with a short lasting white head. Aroma of malt and grass with some nut. Very sweet with a tart bitter finish. Dry palate.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Amber colour, mediumsized beige fluffy head. Aroma is bready malts, some nuts, mild toasted notes, some slight underlying saltwatery notes. Flavour is toffee, some dark fruits, bready malts, caramel malts, mild toasted notes as well as some slight grassyness in the finish. Wellbalanced bock, that hides the alcohol very well.

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 3, 2009
A Mes rate. Bottle at LCRBM #5.
Copper colour with a very thin white head. Rather boring. Too much caramel sweetness coming from the malt. Sweet fruity and sticky. Eventually some faint hops in the finish. Dull but inoffensive.

thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 28, 2009
Bottle. Hazy amber with a small white head. Grassy hoppiness gradually takes over from nutty caramel. Good grassy flavours, quite dry, hints of nuts. Worth a party.

harrisoni (18437) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 12, 2009
Bottle at LCRBM5. Orange amber colour. OK strong lager. Fine if a bit empty in the malts in the mouth.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2010 [9/5/09] Bottle sample during LCRBM at Kulminator in Antwerp. Clear orange color. Oxidized nose with some malt, toast, caramel and a bit of alcohol. Sweet and malty flavor, a bit drier in the finish. Palate is slightly syrupy.

JorisPPattyn (9929) - Ursel, BELGIUM - SEP 6, 2009
Little head, over cognac-coloured beer. Oxydized malts, cookies, old-smelling. Sweet, more oxydized malts, alcoholsweetness, sultanas. Flat MF, slick, alcoholwarming. Prematurely aged; Koelschtrinker confirming sample did not meet usual standards. To be retried.

3.4
Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 2, 2009
Bottle 50 cl. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Sweet and clean malt aroma. Medium body, very solid malt base with a light bitterness. Very solid, and very German. 240709
