Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting - diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, dusty, fruity, sugar, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is okay. Woody-sweet aroma. Nice. Tastes woody, too, but not really sweet. Strong, but not alcoholic. Finish woody-grasy, a bit moldy and unbalanced. Had better bocks. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2008
It’s a beautiful amber color, and the head is huge and white. The aroma has sweetness and notes of malt, candy sugar and the flavour has sweetness, notes of candy sugar, malt and fruit. It’s smooth and well balanced. jonas (7571) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JUL 8, 2007
Bottle. Nice orange amber with a golden head. Fat malt aroma - pretty much smells like raw malt with alight sour note. Lightbodied, papery malt base, a hint oranges, some citric and herbal hops. Bready finish, caramelized and light citric aftertaste. Chewy enough body. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - APR 10, 2007
Bottle, 6.5%. Clear dark copper colour. Small white head. The flavour is OK malty with some pepper in OK balance. Not powerful for a bock, but still good. Like a stronger Apoldaer 1806. bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 15, 2006
Deep golden color. "Sweeties" aroma, like cheap cherry sweets for children. Malty flavor with a hint of roast. Just a bit alcoholic. Fairly dry. Well made. Bottle from MoritzF.
